It will always be a timeless attraction with or without Disney characters. I'm pretty sure Walt would of liked his beloved characters to help represent world peace and love.
Disneyland will never be complete, as long as there is imagination left in the world.

the Imagineers should have use their time, money, and effort to create new rides and tell new stories, not add onto old ones!
i rlly just dont see the point in adding the characters. Small World was one of Disney's most popular rides, the original version was timeless & classic.
it went into the category of "if it aint broke, dont fix it".
Add new rides where? Disneyland is so small, that any new attraction has to take the space of an old one anyways. Would you have rather had them remove small world entirely?
This is their way of 'freshening up' an old ride that kids don't always want to ride on.
Why would kids who ride Space Mountain and Indiana Jones, want to sit in a boat looking at dolls singing 'that dumb song'
We see the message behind it, kids don't.
This gives them a reason to ride, later on they'll see the message.

But look what they've TAKEN AWAY. The Rainforest Scene in the middle of the video is gorgeous- look at the glitter! The Rain! Look how BRIGHT and COLORFUL it all is! And don't even get me *started* on what they did to Mary Blair's design. Seriously, don't even.
The new ride is okay. It's pleasing, and similar. But it isn't the magical, wonderful ride that it was.
When I heard that Disney characters would be added to the ride, I was afraid they'd ruined it too; I imagined Mickey and Goofy plastered everywhere.
However, after seeing the new dolls, I was pleasantly surprised. It's almost an improvement, although the America Room should be different. Where's America's landmarks? Golden Gate bridge? Statue of Liberty? Las Vegas?
Woody and Jessie seem too doll like to me; I also thought they would use Pocahontas in the Native America section.
What I hate the most is that people cry and moan too much on the changes.Even some thought america was added so woody and them would be added which is why too them is unfinished.
I heard that people were actually complaining before about America not being included! So when one group complains, a change happens; when a change happens, others complain.
People! Make up your minds!
I do think that the America room could've been better though. They could've put American landmarks in there or the Disney castle or the Star Spangled Banner! Where's the red white and blue? They just needed to add more to it.
But who knows? They may yet change the America room around...

i want to see welsh people but no no british or welsh in euro disney can't find them but when im on the ride i get really mad because the song gets stuck in my head lol

I think he meant it as the old It's a Small World before it was given a rehab (some Disney enthusiasts said that they ruined it).

I know. I'm definitely a Disney enthusiast and I think it's wonderful! Basically it's still like it was, they just added a bit more to it.
