seriously. jawas riding dinosaurs through mos eisley? (so... we'll never find a greater hive of stupid slapstick? or scum and villainy?) seriously: a 45 second long pan across the desert before we hear "look sir, droids?" greedo shoots first? han meets Jabba AFTER killing his assassin... Jabba lets him go without even breaking his legs? (NONE OF IT MAKES SENSE). (if Jabba's so frigging affable, why are we even afraid of him???)

simply compare the timing. the original FAR surpasses the remastered edition. the story begins IMMEDIATELY. there's no prolonged pause while we wait and wait for the "the chapter heading" to fly away. this timing problem is continued throughout the remastered version, as lucas lingers over every little detail at the expense of the story. for real star wars fans, "a new hope" is completely unwatchable compared to the original film (entitled STAR WARS).

Watched the remastered last night and hated it. Looked like it was shot on video and had lost all it's movie feel. Give me the original any day

the remastered is ok, but the orginal is better because its reminds us of how was the movies back then
