everyone is now coming out and saying "my god it's nothing on last year, Jade was so amazing, we had SUCH a good song last year"................. seriously can you not all remember how much criticism there was, especially on youtube, for Jade Ewen and her entry last year? everyone said it was crap, a watered down musical theatre number, but when it came 5th in Moscow everyone said it was great! maybe we're underestimating this song too? it's a very professionally mixed and performed pop song..
I will say it's an improvement from the National Final; will it do well? Who knows? I liked our entry last year with Jade, although this does sound quite Eurovisionish. I hope for his sake he doesn't come near the bottom.
OK, so it's not quite as embarrassing as it was the first time round... Clearly the Dutch liked it - but have you heard the Dutch entry? And will someone please tell Josh to get a f***ing haircut??!!
Completely - i am embarrassed to admit this but i actually complained to the BBC for our appauling effort this year - but this is much better - still very dated of course but better and with lots of ballads this year it may actually scrape itself from null points to a few extra with the new arrangement and he can work a crowd which is good.
Poor Josh!...he was about to repeat the last line to finish the song when the host whipped his microphone off him thinking he had already finished!...it is much better than the original version though, it is suitably europop, and it should get some votes now! : )
Sounding a lot lot better than it did at first and looks like a positive reaction from the Netherlands but tbh we need to impress the Eastern european countries more...Yet I am hopeful :)
This version lives up to The Hit Factory's heyday! I don't know where Mike Stock took and still takes inspiration from for his songs, but I think it's somewhere between German Schlager and Abba, it's a very Nordic European sound, so I think it suits Eurovision really well. Good luck from Spain and welcome back Mike!!
Much improved since the National Final. The verse might be stronger than the chorus but this now has a feel of what made Stock and Waterman such a formidable team in the 1990s. Hope live backing vocals add that final something (plus that wind machine!). Good luck!
I have been a major critic of our entry since that diabolical National Final. This arrangement is growing on me, but I detest the crass ending. Nikki French and Lindsay D rolled into one. This needs to get around as much of Europe as possible to make some kind of impact on the night.
The arrangement here is much brighter than that awful arrangement on YCNY. This guy has got a brilliant, brilliant voice which as such would have been much better employed on a 'serious' song, but still the quality of his voice sustaining the tone of each note can be heard. However, the winning song at Eurovision every year is always one that stands out from the other entrants and the style of song arrangement does definitely stand out. Whether it's your cup of tea is another question.
THANK TO MIKE STOCK , the world has now again a Fresh POP SONG ! AMAZING ! The arrangement is perfect, the guitars, the improved melody in the chorus. YOU are a genius MIKE ! , and JOSH is an Excellent performer ! 12 points
Think he looks really hot and much better performance. I've really warmed to him and the song, think we've got a more of a chance of doing well than the critics first thought. Lets be positive!
People are too harsh to the boy. He'll probably be the next sugababe in a couple of years.

Wow, the ESC brings a lot of discussion to the table in Engeland.
I thought we only had that in The Netherlands.

Still don't like this song, both me and my mother think it's something a Butlin's Recoatsong and not a real contender for the European Title.
The BBC and Stock/Waterman have failed the UK!

Out of the Big Four, I like Germany and United Kingdom, the latter being my favorite.
I represent the Spanish-speaking community and I wonder why Spain can't pull songs like this one.
I liked Spain's entry last year but I'm no fan of ballads or waltz.
So stop complaining and just enjoy the show, because I'm pretty sure you haven't heard real crappy music, not the kind you get where I come from.
Go Josh, go UK!

The song is SUPER!!! Great melody and production. This new remix by Mike Stock. I don't think it's a winner, but it can go high in the top 10!!!!

This deserves to do much better now it has been remixed & rearranged.
Pete Waterman, Mike Stock & Josh have done a great job with this song, and I think as long as it gets promoted in Europe early enough, it will score.
Biggl1 1 year ago
Abetter version but not a winner. We needed a more expereinced perfomer than the "kids" we had to choose from.
ppauljh 1 year ago
Much much better version, now with a decent 12inch version they can put this song out there!
Unfortunately Pete Hammond has denied his involvement for a remix, but this one suffices for itself.
