  • You Did not just see what you just saw *waves hand in front of screen*

  • This is one of the cooler things Seen, and heard, in my life.

  • hahah I love it !! a big thumbs up to you!

  • amazing the things people come up with...

  • and you actually did it with cubase rofl

  • This must be the noise Darth Vaders HDD makes when he switches his pc on..

  • i don't get it. is this rebecca black's new single?

  • cool, but the good old floppy drives from the 80's sounds better ^___^

  • @CRYP77 They don't make em like that anymore, vintage you know, always sounds better... :)

  • THATS BAD ASS!!

  • THAT BASS

  • You have too much time on your hands!

  • I DEMAND A TUTORIAL

  • @chonisn So was I!!! Now i must demand a tutorial from the person who uploaded this piece of galactic hard drive wonder!

  • belive it or not. i was surprised when i learnt they were made of glass and not metal O-o

  • much better this section of youtube than the nasty-creepy one

  • my old computer used to do that when i didnt do anything on it for 2 minutes.....

  • look a ibm deskstar..... an older one. good use for it.

  • Do you think this would work on a corrupted hard drive? the stuff still moves, the disc itself is crapped out though.

  • @CrazeeWeegeMan47 Since this is probably crapping out the disk, yeah.

  • @MarioSegaFreak Oh it's probably already dead just from opening the sealed case to the disk.

  • I wonder if doing that to a HD voids the warranty... It might even result in data loss! O_O

  • Will it blend? O_o (confused)

  • the computer repair part of me cringes at this. But awesome none the less

  • where could one obtain one of these "arduinos"

    totally gonna do this :D

  • @TheDevilsAdmin They are "open source hardware", originally created by a guy in Italy. The "open source" means the specs and programing architecture are provided for free, so there are a number of companies that sell their own versions of Arduino boards. In the USA SparkFun Electronics sells quite a few different versions online. I've also seen a couple on the shelves at my local Radio Shack.

  • Dude! ...you have too much time in your hands! Why! No seriously ""WHY!

  • This can be don much easier. Just look up hard drive speaker. Sound quality will probably be equally as bad ,but maybe less loud.

  • im lol-ing

  • guay

  • If you were to run a computer with a hard drive's disk platters exposed, it would fail quite fast. All it needs is some dust to crash the platters and you got yourself a literal crash!

  • it sounds like a fart lol

  • LMAO !!! Awesome !!! :D

  • :D

  • this dubstep version :D

  • i fcking love you! :D

  • I can show you a much easier way to turn a DC motor into a speaker. A proper speaker with a clear sound.

  • @ranamuhammadatif And a CD-player, and Hifi equipment, and all the latest technology! And a method to travel to space in a more fuel economic way!

  • @PrinssiFO Yep if I could have a billion dollars!

  • make loz theme song !!!

  • Israeli news paper, nice!

  • I have to say, this is the only time I've heard a hard disk play the Imperial march.

  • These are not the disks you're looking for

  • like old pc or amiga games

  • nossa!! foi isso que escutei antes do meu HD queimar, kkkkkk

  • i think it would help if the HDD disks were spinning...

  • Point of this video is to show people that it IS possible to use a hard drive as a speaker.. We all already know we can get a speaker for atleast 20 bucks, why buy a speaker when you can make one out of trash laying around the house?

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • Are you a god...? o____O

  • Use the RAM, Luke.

  • Broken hard drive Episode IV (A NEW HOPE)

  • Ooh yeah, that was a nice bassy one!

  • You just got to love MIDI!

  • nerdy

  • sounds like somoune is cutting the cheese

  • cool

  • ES DE CHILE

  • can you make a how to for that?

  • @ponchoboy00 sorry, it's pretty old and my prototype isn't funcining anymore. it's fairly simple. connect an arduino to a relay, the relay to the head of the hdd and write the midi software to output the songs.

also check out my diskrolld video

  • @soundguy29 You can just connect coil from HDD to uour audio amplifier , that connected to PC and play real Imperial March on your hard drive . It's really easy :

    /watch?v=HmLkJghrzgs

  • @soundguy29 So you're torturing the relay, too? Nice vid :D

  • @ponchoboy00 You just hook the voicecoil wires to any sound supply and hey presto.

No need for arduino or such.

  • @soundguy29, no I wussed out and used an arduino to play it via a speaker. :(

  • @graymalkin1234 oh well. too bad. arduinos are awesome though, right?

  • Wow, you must be an MIT student or something lol

  • @granpastreetz i'm a BSC in physics and computer science from TAU and MBA from Technion.

  • Oh boy, this is ridiculously awesome....haven't laughed this hard in a while...

  • @spliffffstar thanks :)

  • :D AWESOME! There is hope for my 40GB laptop drive yet... time to crack open my torkx kit!

  • @graymalkin1234 did you do it?

  • tha was....HARD.

    ;D

  • That's one of the best Hard Drive Imperial marches, second only to the Tesla Coil Imperial March!
