A hunter does not have to be survival to cast Tranq Shot--This shot is aquired in the level 60 raid instance of Molten Core off of the Core Hound looking boss(its been a while i dont remember his name) i was a Pre-BC hard core raider on my hunter so I already had aquired it when BC rolled around. I will test this theory next time I am in ZA.

Alos just like to add if you have a prot pally its alot easier to just hatch one full side, nuke that side. then move to the other side. Cuz they dnt respawn after nuking all the eggs, gives you more time on the boss.

nice vid im usually the prot pally doin it. It helps a ton to wear my fire resis set that i got for hyjal to. i can stand on a bomb and nothing happens really helps the healer out alot especialy if your 2 man healing this.

It's preety easy for a t4 level guild (or cake for a t5 -- heavy badge gear = t5 level). Hardest boss in ZA (despite not being last) is easily Hex Lord.

pally tanking IS nessecary

we had a group of 10 t5 geared people from the top raiding guilds in one group

but no pally OT

and we failed miserably

we had to reset him 9 times before getting a pally, and then we murdered it

Pally tanking is not necessary, it just makes it easier. We don't use a pally to tank our adds, actually, our prot pally takes the boss. Slow traps, Novas, good healing and cleanses. Our DPS controls the adds. Currently we kill a full side at a time that way. Our group was Kara geared (and now badges)- you don't need T5+ to not use a pally.

Need your comment on this... we have 1 of the hatchers hatch all of the eggs, a tankadin on the bridge who picks up all spawns, MT (in our case a feral druid) and DPS spanks boss and other hatcher in the meantime. When tankadin has enough aggro (6k threat approx.), send in AoE mages, repeat on the other hatcher. Our raid mostly consists of a kara+ priest, shaman/druid and paladin as healers, one to two hunters (im one of them :)), one to two mages, a rogue and a shadow priest as DPS (800+ DPS).

in this fight im a pally OT i tank the hole side then bubble to remove the debuffs insted of cleanses. this helps healz on me and the Mt insted of the cleanses.
