Right, there should be a new rule for Youtube; if you're gonna dislike a video, you have to comment with your reason for it. That way we can spam the 35 people who disliked this, and then report them for abuse. There is no honest reason for disliking Burial.
I came here because I wanna see my dudes who did wrong things and of course for Burial. He is some kind of a story teller.Maybe he's trying to tell us what he did in his lifetime or maybe he's telling us what he is up into or he's telling us little thinks that we can't think o remember. That man is the real artist. That man makes the real music.
@Jez4prez i know right, ive been lookin for the sample and that but i really don't think it was sampled from an ending..... apparently it was from an intro to gears of war or something..
I've never been one to over exaggerate, but this is honestly the only tune that i can genuinely not put into words. Also the only tune that's ever made me cry because of how perfect it is. Hats off to will bevan.
Burial is by far the most emotional producer I listen to..the tracks have no words sometimes, yet they speak volumes without saying anything. People see different things and think different things when they listen to Burial, but they all think something when they hear a masterpiece like this.
when i listen to burial's tracks walking alone in the street on my way home with orange street lights at my background, i always find my self crying silently and discreetly. flashes of unforgettable "moments" rapidly kicks in on my mind. just to emotional though cause my heart is broken into a million pieces at a moment. very sad.
volor flex does this shit to me every time as well.
''Contains a sample from "An Ending (Ascent)" by Brian Eno''
ho my god...this song will be played when the world end :D Two things that i love in the world is The music from Eno and the nostalgic music :) burial is a genious
Burial is a actual genius. Using electronic music to ring to the emotional and primordial mindset every single person has, no matter where your from. This artist will be remembered 100 years from now, longer even.
I don't think there's lyrics, but I pretend it says "still goes on". Kind of makes sense with the repetition. Its like the voice is narrating the want for peace but it always succumbs to the fact that we are in a duality. But we keep struggling for it even though we know deep down its not attainable. Attempt followed by attempt,
You can't ever be truly rational and unbiased in your thinking, you are tool for your genes' survival. You are controlled by your emotions. Accept this and take life as it comes to you. Just try to achieve happiness, don't question the point of it all, your life will end before long.
@preceeding What's the point in even dissing the song? If people don't like it ... go listen to Kesha or some shit and get off our page n00b brial haterzzzzz!!!!!!!!! BURIAL4LIFE
Dark November night. The streets are deserted, flickering orange streetlights glow along the road. i lift my hand to my face and light a cigarette. I feel so calm, alone, yet at peace. i walk to the top of the hill look down on the city below me being artificially lit and just sit smoking listening to burial.
Beautiful song. If you want to understand it turn lights and monitor off - just make darkness in your room. Then just imagine. I've heard soul of young girl that died near railway trakcs.
@traptsoulja like jamesalemons says, it makes me think of lonely walks in the city, at night, in the rain. to me it's like the sound of a big city full of sadness. i reckon if you heard this in your headphones, in the right place, at the right time, when feeling a certain way, it'd probably make sense to you.
@traptsoulja I felt the same way when I first heard this song a few years ago. Listen to by yourself after you have had a bad day or something. Trust me, you won't regret it.
@Sirogi17 maybe listen to: Silver Mt Zion - '13 Angels Standing Guard'. Brian Eno - 'An Ending (Ascent)'. Shlohmo - 'Seriously'. How To Dress Well - 'Ready For The World'. Massive Attack vs Burial - 'Four Walls'. Daisuke Tanabe - 'Artificial Sweetener'. Massive Attack - 'Risingson'. Four Tet - 'My Angel Rocks Back And Forth'. And listen to Burial's 'Fostercare' and 'Prayer' too if you ain't heard em. All the best.
This, Burial, is bigger than most music, it's on a whole different level, It's not just increasing dopamine in your brain with simple melodies. It's about beauty, This music is pure beauty.
This is black November nights in South East London. You're in Lewisham, you're in Peckham, it's the recession. You're walking home bruv, you're walking home, it's drizzling, it's pouring. Black cabs bright headlights, brothers walking strut tight, hold tight, soon be home, put your feet up, get out, throw your hoody on, 'ave a beer 'ave a jaegerbomb. Come home, it's lonely, stick on the box, fall asleep, dribble down your chops. Music deeper than soul... more... buried. There are no rulez. Amaze
love listening to this when i'm on the train going somewhere. just staring at the vast landscapes and beautiful forests and cities. such an amazing feeling.
@explodingsausage Thank you for being so open and honest about your feelings. That is such a beautiful thing to me. where I live (US) there is so much being closed to talking about how feel. For you to just be open and honestly say this song made you feel or to at least talk about things so often not talked about means a lot to me, and can help people feel like it is okay to say, "this reduced me to tears." Or anything. thank you thank you thank you. I logged in just to tell you.
No kidding! I just watched the documentary and heard this song. I knew I had heard it before but couldn't remember who made it. So i put Shazam (iphone-app) to the speakers and got the ID! :)
I live in a country where every person is the same. Waking up, dressing up like everyone else, listening to music that everyone likes, watches the same TV shows. They never open their minds, never think far, they stay in their little bubble.
When I listen to Burial, I feel like I'm dropped into this dark bar in London, at 3 in the morning, I sip on a beer, and look outside the window and watch all these different people passing by. My thoughts begin to wonder.
@aderfner I live in this country that is "totally free' yet everyone is the same. Waking up I see the world around me that has envy yet I wonder why. To see the forest through the trees is a beautiful thing, however you have to be able to see. I constantly wonder how it could have gotten to this, and it brings me to one conclusion.. Its out of your control. Don't worry, in the end everything will be Ok.
@Jacob15728 This isn't dubstep, Burial is a dubstep producer, but that doesn't mean he can't make anything else. Shit, dubstep doesn't need any wobbles at all. Just fat bass, and a nice dark vibe.

This choon makes me think about how beautiful this genre is . I at my balcony with my coffee and a smoke and enjoying what burial has created. The underground is glowing...
People like @thashaggster will never understand ..I`d suggest you to get back in your mums basement and get back to your commercialised crap .. stay off this page you`ll never comprehand this child
I just... I want to undo everything bad I have ever done, I want to apologise to anyone I ever hurt, I ever got angry at, I ever lost sight or contact with over petty arguments. I want to stop those who made wrong decisions, decisions that broke people, turned dear friends - families - into shadows of those I once knew. I want to open your eyes to who you were becoming. I want to go back to the start and do it all over, but to change so much.
holy fuck this is the type of music that can change feelings ina heart beat but except the heart beat is a kick drum an the feeling is dubstep :D! stay good stay healthy an stay dubbin everyone!!
It's hypnotic, reflective, sad and lonely all at the same time. Why is this so haunting? It gives me goosebumps and I don't know why? The las time I heard a song that moved me like this was the first time I heard "Jesus blood never failed me yet" by Gavin Bryars.
its kind of asking to be remixed really tho!

But I can't.
And that's why we must forgive.

It's hypnotic, reflective, sad and lonely all at the same time. Why is this so haunting? It gives me goosebumps and I don't know why? The las time I heard a song that moved me like this was the first time I heard "Jesus blood never failed me yet" by Gavin Bryars.
