  • wow, you did the whole thing in Blender? That is awesome if that is all you used.

  • TUTORIAL PLEASE IM TRYING TO MAKE AN ICBM AND A TUTORIAL FOR YOUR NUKE AND FOR THE ROCKET ANIMATION WOULD BE NICE.

  • I've been trying forever to get that quick smoke expansion on the ground. I just have a basic understanding of particles though, so this confirms the fact that I have a lot to learn!

    Amazing job!

  • man u re good

  • I think I got it! Displacement modifiers on a mesh for the billowing smoke + procedural texturals with normals?

  • Could you please give me a quick tip on how you made the billowing fire turning to smoke cloud on the ground? Did you use a Mesh with like millions of vertices and deform it in the animation with some kind of procedural textures and bump mapping, or was it just pure particles? I'm staring to HATE blender because I hit a road bump in the learning process that halts progress for freakin weeks because I can't find help for crap. And SCREW GOOGLE. Doesn't help for specifics. Just a tip, pleeease?

  • Damn I didnt know blender was this versatile! Nice work! (I use maya myself, but for a free program Blender amazes me every time!)

  • not bad

  • I tried to make a rocket, too! ( But mie doesn't look good!)

    Make a tutorial! :D

  • Awesome!

You should have created a starfield!

  • this is a trash.........

JUST KIDDING!!! ITS AMAZING! AWSOME WORK!

  • NICEEE_--

    tutorial- now- do it!

umm great job- maby some stars, some atmosphere - you know- to jazz it up a bit.

    Nice

  • Wooooooooooooooooooooow. This is AMAZING (for Blender)!! For the billowing smoke cloud, did you use the technique that was featured in the Blender Artist Magazine where you take flat planes with a cloud texture, and make a ton of them using the particle system?

  • truly a work of art. this is amazing. i tried to do a rocket like this but its a lot simpler. Keep up the good work. check out my vid up in the video responses.

  • Thank you ! I I saw your video response, which looks good. In my opinion, you should increase the "hard" value of halo, to make them more smooth. and also use IPO curves for both alpha and halo size variation during particle life.

  • alright, great. Ill try that next time. ive only been using blender for maybe 3 or 4 weeks now so im still learning stuff.

  • i want to learn how to use blender. where do you suggest i start?

  • Best blender 3d rocket launch I've seen on YT. Something for me to shoot for. No pun intended.

  • wow nice.....why is the camera all shaky?

  • Can you please send me a link to a tutorial for smoke and fire like that. And can you tell me if it's controllable?

  • il manque juste la gravité

  • Looks Great!

  • You have real ability - we lesser mortals demand tutorials!

  • hahaha

  • WOW!AWESOME!! is there a tut to make the rocket go up? i want do do that 2!

  • show off ;0) nice one

  • wow!!! Amazing!! how did you make the smoke?? I've been trying to make smoke on blender, but I cant figure it out.

  • That's amazing dude! It makes my animtion's look like bigger pieces of crap than they already are!

  • personally, i really like yor videos, i like how you make them very realistic even in this video that isnt finished, because the effects are fantastic.

I have only just started blender and i tried following your atomic bomb tutorial but i still need a bit more practise on blender.

    :D

  • Very realistic smoke pattern. I'd definitely be interested in a tutorial on this if you ever get around to writing it :)

  • fucking amzing !

  • i like how most all of your videos have a shaky camera... its really nice style and personally my favorite

  • Thank you !

  • How did you do the exhuast coming out of the engine?

  • Isn't this just amazing, I'd believe it's a real-life launch film if the background wasn't plain dark. The camera work adds great reality too, giving a convicing look that it was actually "filmed"!

I would give some stars to the sky and some buildings/city lights farther down in the backgound, if I may.

  • The exhaust is really cool! How did you make it? Also, might I suggest that you layer the flare effect above everything else so it looks more like a lens or bloom effect? Right now it sort of goes behind the tower which looks a bit odd.

  • Thank you for your suggestion ! I will try to put 2 halos: One for the bloom effect (in the background) and one for the lens effect, which will be above everything else.

  • Wow, that smoke really looks great! The flare bugs me though, but hey, I couldn´t do it any better ;)

  • Oh my good lord. That is f-ing amazing. Excellently done. Will you be posting the whole thing when it's done?

  • Yes I think...but actually I'm trying to resolve a little problem...I don't know what kind of background I will apply ? cloudy, sunny, day, night, surrealistic or realistic...or none...Thanks for watching and for posting the first comment !
