I bought the same one. And i'm wondering, I do a lot of trail riding. I'm worried about the magnet getting knocked off the spokes, have u had any off road experience w/ it?
Okay, to make it sound simple, leaving out pie. If you have a 27" tire, set the computer for 27", and you move the bike, so the wheel turns, one time. It knows, you moved 27 inches. If you set it to 26", it knows you moved 26", and so on. The magnet, only goes around once; whether, you put it on the top or bottom; Once! If you turn the wheel one time, the top of the wheel moves around once; so does the hub; Once. Still confused, Put chalk marks, one on top; one near the hub.
@xoxoxoxoLIVE Hey you bell 15 function bike speedometer, the sensor on the bottom isnt it supposed to be higher on the fork?because the wheel rotation with sensor on low part of spokes that makes it faster counts for hitting the sensor........mine was a pain in the ass to install because the damn sensor to far away from the magenet.... =.=.but i solved it
@DSiOwnsPSP It doesn't matter, how high, or low; the sensor is put.. If the wheel, has a circumfrence of 16" lets say. One spin of the wheel, the bike moves 16" inches. One wheel turn, no matter how high the sensor is placed. It's still one revolution, one count, for 16 inches.
@richmg821 I don't get it, Because when you set the speedometer up it says how big is your tire, as in 26'',24'',27'' and so on.....because if it is at the very bottom there is a difference on how quickly it will calculate.
i am no good for technology and i am about to fucking break this shit into pieces if i cant find someone who can drive the through the steps of setting it up, the manual is a piece of shit that gives me a headache
@govindrpillai Well the third page is still on installing, Step one is set wheel
size, step 2 is,km or miles, step 3 is age and weight, step 4 is, distance for maintenance reminder, step 5, time or clock,.... hope this helps, Richard
I just got it. So far for me, the thermometer is completely useless. When the sun hits it, it just goes haywire. Even inside, it's only semi-accurate. I have the feeling the calorie/fat counter is way off the mark too. I'll probably just return it to Walmart and find something better.
@ceo4eva You have to get the magnet really close to the sensor, and have it pass over the arrow. Notice how mine is leaned inward the wheel, needs to be very close. also double check you have the battery side facing out from the wheel.
You may have to go closer to the center of the wheel, sorry for the short reply, just trying to get you some kind of answer before I have to leave for work Richard
Can you put it on a gas powered scooter?

What's the range on this unit? Could it be mounted to the rear wheel?

I'm trying to set mine up but it keeps skipping age/weight and time.
This is driving me crazy...
ATXrollerblader 1 year ago
@ATXrollerblader Age is the one that is confusing you, it has a large size number for the seound one, LIKE 4,
then a very small number for the first ,then you put in weight, ( time ), comes after that, choose between
24 hour or 12 hour clock, then set the time...Hope this helps. Richard the manual is one of the worst I
have ever seen, but once you get it, very easy !
