@jsiszero Exactly. The last great Maxima was the 02-03 generation 5.5 with the 6 speed manual. It was a cheap, fun and bullet proof reliable sedan that could be modded to hell if you wanted to. The nasty torque steer was a flaw but made it fun nonetheless. CVT only appeals to the sheep who are so gullible and moved by mainstream media, common sense is out the door these days.
@IHeartMoney97 The 4th gen is nice too. I understand the newest Maxima is very fast but in CVT I'm sure it won't feel as involving as the older Maximas. My Mom has a 09 Sentra and the CVT sucks, although it does work well for highway cruising.
@7477238 All of them suck if they are.... id say 09 and down i mean they are relatively new (being first produced in 2003) by nissan. My '10 is amazing and the manual mode is ok but not great
@IHeartMoney97 you dont know what the Hell your talking about, lol. i had a 2001 for 5 years and there were some that looked much older than it so now you know!
Also had a 2000 SE I loved. Bought the 2010 SV new, and I can't think of anything about it I don't like, except it's not a 370Z. I needed a four door for now.
1st car was an 89' Stanza which the folks got when I was 6 and became mine at 16 - even though i drive a Honda now I think Nissan will always mean something special to me and will probably be my next whip.
@Jordin1818 I know what you mean and I think this is done so as not to make it as nice as the G37 inside. The Gs have slightly nicer soft plastics and that strip of real aluminum or wood across the dash. Otherwise, though, the Maxima's materials are very premium and make the competition from Honda and Toyota look very cheap. The VW Passat has a nice interior and obviously the Hyundai Genesis sedan in this price range.
Im looking for used maxima's and its very hard to find them for 14K CAD dollars, and you never know if the car has had accidents or something, so therefore low value. Its hard to find a maxima or an altima for less that 13K here in Canada
Nissan=Tragedy... Nissancars has a low resale value, a 2006 Nissan Maxima fully loaded with rear seat warmers in everything, is only worth 7560k,, May anyone explain that? No you cant because it is not quality....,
@DaivionNEAL Thats impossible I had mine appraised at a nissan dealership in sept of last year and mine is worth 10k and thats an 04, so your info is off.
@FTrain4750 Mine 2005 altima has a hole in the floor, they rust pretty bad. After mine got rusted i started looking under other people Nissans they rust badly.
@IHeartMoney97 My friend had a 1999 Maxima he loved it, bought 2005 Maxima and it had the same rust problems as my altima. Just go to the mall parking and start looking under 2004-7 altimas and maximas you will be surprised.

BUT if I have time machine to go back in past I will pay 5000$ more to buy IS350.
The car is OKAY but when driving above 120 km/hr.. it doesnt give you a feeling of confidence ..Anyhow its still a very decent ride.

Why do you have wood color dark brown
We have the Arabian Gulf, the color of walnut wood slash orange!!
American standards somewhat strange.

i like the look of the new maxima but the cvt transmission is a turn off. nissan needs to go to a 5 or 6 speed transmission
brandy718 2 years ago
@brandy718 Well this is meant to be a daily driver, a 5 or 6spd manual is more of a weekend car.

btw. the dark color is to blend it with the black leather!
