Has anyone here read The Warriors book on which the film is based on. The book actually portrays the warriors as a real gang and not as half heroes like in the movie.

umm...the game's BASED off the movie (which has before themes of the movie) and yes I have seen the movie. and according to the movie, they're pretty much highlighted as the best gang, other than the riffs. that's why they won all they're fights

The warriors are different to any other gang, each one has their own fighting style which makes them unique, where as all the turnbull are just crazy fuckers, the furys all fight with bats and the orphans are all pussys which hide behing each other, thats why the warriors are the best.

true, they do have unique fighting styles. but the difference is they can hold their own. each member carries something different, but that only makes them unique. the riffs would tear the warriors apart, because there was so little of them before they caught the train, the AC's would've dismantled them with sheer numbers. but overall, in a one on one or a two on one battle, they won't exactly hold their own. you seen what happened when they fought the furies and the punks.

The Warriors is being remade by MTV Productions in conjunction with Paramount Pictures. This movie isn't strictly a remake since it is going to be set in Los Angeles in 2008 and none of the characters or gangs from the original movie will be in it. Yes that's right, no Ajax, no Swan, no Orphans or Baseball Furies! In fact the only similarities with the original movie are the title, the name of The Warriors gang, and the basic plot.
