To answer the Frequently Asked Question about what software I use to make these...

...there isn't just one software I used.

I use 3D Studio Max for the 3D rendering...

Macromedia Flash for other 2D images and some of the light effects...

Jasca Paintshop for photos, scanned images, some 2D images and other imagery...

And Sony Vegas for video arrangement and merging and a few effects.
