  • thanks buddy :)

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCHHHH <3 !

  • Thank you so much for the tip! it came out nice and easy with a small flat screwdriver. And the dust was apparently the problem, for me. I didn't change the trackpad part, just took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together. It works perfectly again.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEE UUUUUUUUUUUUUU

    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<333333333333333333333

  • thanks for the video as useing this and a £3.95 new trackpad from ebay i have now fixed my phone :)

  • Oh yeah, if your trackpad all of the sudden stops working, and was working when you first got it, this will most likely fix the problem since it's probably the connection from the trackpad to the phone that's messed up. Machines/people attaching bulk amounts everyday aren't perfect!

  • Okay, first of all, if you have a warranty, this will void it. So don't even try if you have one, go get it fixed. So once you break that white screw cover, you must buy your own parts when they break and fix them yourself, or have a different company do it, if they don't care if it's void.

  • how do i scroll without the use of my pad since it is officially broken and i dont have warranty

  • i fucking hate the blackberry. told my provider how much i hated it because my trackball constantly failed and asked what phone did they recommend, and he said, "believe it or not, the new blackberry. no trackball." maybe not, but SAME RESULT. trackpad as temperamental as the trackball. speaking of balls, suck mine, blackberry. :(

  • wow thanks i just opened it and cleaned it it works like new i bought an iphone 4 when my blackberry 8520 trackpad stoped working anyways im more happy witht he iphone but blackberry its still a good phone :)

  • hey mi trackpad is sunk will this fix it? please sdy answer!

  • You did a this in under three minutes that impressive..I just wish you would had been a little bit more delicate with the way you went about taking apart..I woild probably have a heart attack seen my phone take that kind of damage lol..anyhow nice vid.

  • My trackpad does not work at all! Will this make it work?

  • wow cant believe this actually fixed my fone thats awesome dude

  • MAN DIZ SHYT ST8 HLP'D ME ALOT I ST8 FIX'D MY DAM FONE THNKZ TU DIZ VID .........................

THNK YOU WHOEVERY YU R NOW I KAN GO TO BEDD BEN UP ALL DAM NYTE

  • Anyone have the pinout for the trackpad?

  • My track pad can click but not scroll..and I did these steps and my track pad still can scroll

  • My trackpad clicks and works but wont scroll im not sure if this is a software problem or a problem with the trackerpad itself can any body tell me how to find out please.. it was working fine 1 moment and then didnt the next, no dropping, water damage ect.. .. please HELP

  • @123treeparty ive had the same problem, i did what the video showed but didnt touch the trackpas, i removed the silver plate and put a tiny bit of tissue paper between the back of the trackpad and the silver plate for extra padding so the trackpad is padded and then screw the metal plate back on hope this helps :)

  • @RetroPhysicalll i will be sure to try it thank you very much for your help : ) out of curiosity what made you think of padding the back? by the way when you had this problem did the trackpad get slightly hot at times?? it may sound daft but mine heats up since the problem started.. again thank you for helping i really appreciate it.

  • @123treeparty i dont really know what made me think of it, i just thaught that if the trackpad wasnt working i thaught it might be not reaching something at the back and when i padded it it must of needed something to push it into the connection or towards the front and it worked :)

  • thanx good video

  • Man that's unfortunate of your trackball rolling into a drain but the 8900 is my first blackberry so I am happy with it all too much! But when this breaks I am def getting one of the newer ones with the trackpad.

  • Is there any way to change a sprint blackberry curve to t-mobile?

  • @clady92 yes, exchange the phone at the store you bought it.

  • Dose the track pad ever stop working compleatly? and if so, what is the persentage of it not working??

  • Trackballs are better!! :)

  • @0XxBesTofTheRestxX0 they fall out if you drop it though, I made that mistake with my old blackberry. Dropped it on the ground and the ball rolled away into a drain...

  • why you should do this?

  • I wouldn't even attempt this. I would screw it up.

  • Please tell us what size screwdriver we need to access the trackpad.

  • What size screwdriver is needed for this???

  • theres like no reason to remove it......unless you want to clean it

  • Hi, what size screwdriver will I need?

    Thanks,

  • Few things everyone should know... 1- that "white dot" voids your warrenty when broken. Blackberry will not work on anything that has that "dot" or "tamper seal" broken. 2- screwing that screw by hand is risky... tighten it too much, it damages the part, to little and your touch pad still wont work. Blackberry uses torque drivers for this, set to a specific torque to avoid overtightening.

  • ermm hey i noticed your called ''theblackberryguy'' so ermm yeahh

i have a blackberry curve 8520 and erm my touch pad keeps freezing and i sometimes have to switch it off&back on den it stops workin again after about say 30 secs .. and its RELY annoying any suggestions of any ways i could fix it??Manyy Thankss(:......P.s Reply Soon Please (:....

  • THANK U SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for this video!!! i fixed mine by opening it and closing it !!!!!!! =D your the best!!!!

  • my trackpad seems indented...or lowered...doesnt feel like a smooth glide

    how do i fix?

  • @lyzapyza I've encountered the same issue. If you find the solution to this problem, let me know please because I have encountered this problem within 1.5 weeks of purchasing a new Curve 8520 from Sprint.

  • AWESOME!! thanx man!! I fixed my trackpad by just opening the trackpad and close it,, like what this video shows.. this is very useful,, thanx again! ;)

  • What size/type of screw driver would i need? I've been having problems with my track pad freezing for weeks. Thanks.

  • thank you.. i had a problem with my bb trackpad.. and now it is working .. thanks again

  • @bittyMe i have a problem too!!!! mine moves alone!!! it sucks, how can i fix it?

  • @Brucemasta mine had the exact same problems , i send it to repair , but they "could'nt find annything" and now u solvesd it bymyself with a screwdriver !

  • where can i get that screwdriver?

  • where can i get that screwdriver?

  • @Brucemasta A FUCKING HARDWARE STORE DIPSHIT

  • where can i get that screwdriver?

  • A good reason to remove the track pad is ...... when soda or something else sticky gets spilt on your keys. yes mine is sticky and it kinda sucks.

  • please inform detailed infos in your video so I can do it myself at home. Thanks.

  • Ummm...where was the dis-assembly? The guide to removing the trackpad? Replacing the trackpad? Re-assembling the phone?

Do this this then this. Then anything after this, just...do. Not very helpful for most out there, thanks though.

  • fuckin pointless video

  • Why exactly would I need to do this?

  • @AlexandaDaGrate I am guessing if at any point one breaks and is not covered under warranty.i cant wait for eBay or craigslist sellers that don't know how to replace it and sell it cheap

  • Comment removed

  • we need to see it start up and see u use it

  • thx bro! really helpfull!

  • where can i get a new track pad?
