What a great movie! This song reminds me of Kichijoji station in Tokyo. There was a cd kiosk back in 1996 that played this tune continually it seemed. I guess the song was used in a number of Japanese dramas and became very popular.

Before they started filming this movie, they took the 3 leads out in drag to a bar and the director said Terrance Stamp was miserabe and spent the whole time complaining that the high heels were killing him, Guy Pearce forgot he was in drag and tried to chat up the bar maid and Hugo Weaving drunk so much he passed out and they stuck him under a table and took pictures! Go Hugo!

This is such a wonderful film, filled up with so much humour, beauty and also very touching and sensitive scenes.
