Hiya apricum, i am on the balcony just before the start of the fight, where do i find the shotgun on the groundfloor. ? i found a shotgun just in front of the center pillar and once ive picked it up i ran to the entrance where i cam in to start this level, but the minute i turn around Radec slashes the hell outa me lol..bloody b@stard :-)
Sadly, this level has so many issues. Like hit detection issues, getting stuck, no fucking checkpoints, multiple shot with a fucking shotgun to kill someone, etc. Still an amazing game and a fantastic ending and last level but it's not the difficulty it's bullshit issues this last level has, sorry but it takes one shot with a shotgun to kill an enemy, there should be a checkpoint after each phase, and as for getting stuck? wtf I couldn't even more, it's rare but it happens.
using grenade launcher at elite difficulty to get the RPGs isnt a good tactic because it is difficultier than only take the snipper in x5 and do headshots...
kill the last RPG with knife at elita difficulty isnt other good idea:they are very good shooters and he isnt going to fail like in your video and all enemies kill you with only 1 punch in elite difficulty. BUT GOOD VIDEO
This level pissed me off because when i played it earlier today the first two guys that jump over the rails wouldn't die, i emptied my whole shotgun into a single guy and hit him with all but one shot and he still didn't die.

does anyone know if you need to start a new campaign o elite, for the heroic savior trophy, or you can just go mission by mission on mission select?
I am doing this final fight on elite through mission select.... thought i'd get the hardest part out the way while I'm still fresh on it..... will it work though to then go onto all other missions and complete them on elite?
I marked the spots where my strategy (captured on one of the easier non-elite difficulties) differs from an successful Elite approach most likely but basically this is how I managed Elite mode. It took me dozens of (re-) tries though. Hopefully, the patches released in the meantime do not interfere with the approach shown in this video. Based on the comments I received, the strategy should still work. Good luck. :)

You read the comments regarding the knifing on Elite? It appears you did not. Apart from that, the knife is a very powerful and useful weapon even on Elite setting. The level was recorded in German language so this is what you are hearing. There was no option to change language when the video was taken. Language has no impact on the strategy though...
most enemies die as well instantly after you hit them with melee attack (punch with your weapon), except the big enemies but you do not see them often. But my point was not that you can kill them so easy, but that you can walk around very so freely. When I do that, I'm dead within 3 sec. Was this veteran mode?
I don't remember which setting I chose to record the video. But it was not Elite. After the one playthrough I felt no desire to repeat it on Elite. You may be right it would not be a good idea to run across the room without cover for too long but in the very beginning of the fight it is not as crucial as it is when the action begins.
I tried this game on Elite difficulty and I got to the last part of the last mission just before you have to kill Radec but I could not do it, once I nearly made it but then I gave up after trying 30 times
how do you kill the redek fella, ive tried everything, knifeing him, rocket launcher, flame thrower and the shot gun, and then on here everyone says he's easy to kill. he keeps getting me by dissapearing then appearing near me and then stabbing me. its a fucking joke, i just cnt kill! HELP!
Watch part 2/2 of the video. It is shown there. You cannot kill Radec until he falls back to the balcony in the very end. If you progressed to the point where he fights you personally, the rest is indeed a piece of cake.
Fuck i cant pas the part where rocket launchers start shoothing at me i cant even give a normal peek without getting my ass seperated from my head i 50 feet
If you have a better strategy, feel free to post your video here. It is the way I managed to pass the level once on elite and I felt no desire to repeat it on elite difficulty again for the video capture. It is just a offer and I know from all the received feedback that it worked for others, as well. Take it or don't/find a better way. It is completely up to you.
i actually just beat this on elite, not dissing your strategy, in theory it should work, but the inconsistencies just make it impossible, its a good theory though :)
That is exactly all I intended to show: a way how to pass the level. There is no way to show a strategy one can pass this level on 1st attempt. I died alot and would certainly have died if in this demo the difficulty was set to elite. It is just a way leading to success if you do everything right (and that means doing it better than I did in the video). I am not that good in shooters and was totally relieved when I passed the level. That's why I did not record it again on that difficulty.
i beat it by: getting to the second checkpoint, getting up on the balcony, carpet bombing/fraging the below enemies and stabbing anyone that came up, the knifing was the hardest thing to do, it was just so varied sometimes youd be rushed by 3, sometimes 7 and the amount of damage they took varied greatly also, then after i got the next checkpoint, it was easy goin from there. but to be honest, no strategy will get you through this 100% guaranteed, its 99% luck if you get it. :)
can you showw doing this on elite difficulty. bc there are times i would have died doing this. GR8 TIPS THOUGH. so when you grab the flamethrower they dont rush you from the other stairs? bc when i did this on normal they rushed me from both sides but you only had to deal with one. now im going back on elite to pLAT this game
Basically, you should grab the flame thrower asap when you hear the first clicking sound. You must be near the staircase before 2nd clicking or the Elite troopers will split and come up both staircases. Even when you are fast, it won't work every time. This was the hardest part for me on Elite, as well. I don't remember how often I repeated the whole thing because of the grey guys but it was alot. If you dealt with them, the rest will be easy. Don't give up, you'll make it.
Radec is easy to defeat with almost every weapon so I would take the flamethrower for the harder ones. Probably the most unpleasant opponents before the checkpoint are the Elite troopers. If they are down, the rest can be done without too much sweat. But it is just a suggestion. There are a couple of ways to success.
I failed when You were hiding and then knifed the wave..then threw 2 nades. I just stood up with rico and waited and got overrun. I will have to try this but its annoying when you die cuz you have to start from whe nthey open
the rpg part is easy, all you do is when you hear the doors open and you hear the ro
ckets, get the sniper rifle and from the balcony go to the left side, stay in the middle of the stairs, watch part 6:13 , because from there the rpg's cant get you, then shoot all the rpg guys through the stair rails whith the sniper,i tried it and it works.
i dont get this, i go up the back on hard mode and get the sniper, i shot raddec like 3 times in the head and he just falls back, and my friends say on normal it is like 1 shot and then he dies
You have to kill all of his soldiers first until you face Radec 1:1 in the end (see part 2 of my video). As soon as he falls back to his balcony, you need very few shots in his head to finish him and the game. On "easy" one headshot is all it takes. Until this point you cannot really stop him. He will always come back, even if you hit his head.

u have to knife fight radic its the easiest way. Stand in the middle on top between the two weapon stashes and keep running back and forth when he teleports until he tried to mellee u, u melee him before he gets his attack in and you will at a lot of slashes in, but make sure u time it right. When he teleports back to the opposite stairs (on his last legs) you can snipe him.
Radic can take ALOT of damage. 15 snipers wont even do it lol. You gotta keep at it
The easiest way is to fall back to an alcove with a wall in your back and simply shoot him with the shotgun (as shown in the 2nd video). Does not require any skill, is fast and reliable. As soon as he jumps on his balcony, he does not take much more damage. Few shots are all it takes to finish the level/game. But it is pointless to shoot him as long as his soldiers are alive. Won't harm or even stop him so don't wast your ammo.
OMG lol on easy you can just use your knife 2 do the kills. Try it, just keep moving really quickly and go up and down both stairs if you need to recover. To kill the boss you will need a gun thou.
Sorry it did not work for you, my friend with the good breeding. I am missing your video walkthrough strategy though... ;). The AI behavior is pretty predictable if you played it long enough. I don't call this strategy the best possible. It just worked for me and others. So if you found a better one, feel free to upload a video and share your experience with others.

I can't hear the clicks you suggest listening for. I'm having an audio problem where I can only hear sound effects and voices when I'm looking directly at the thing/person making noise. Example: if I'm looking at Rico I can hear everthing he's saying, but if I look away the audio drops so low I cannot hear anything he's saying. Any suggestions?
your settings are off in your ps3. you somehow have it set to surround sound when you only have sterio speakers. I've had the same problem in uncharted before
I have a full surround sound system with center channel speaker, sub woofer, etc, And I have the PS3 audio set to automatically detect the output. I have this problem with all my FPS games: I have to look at something to hear. AGHHH!
Ok , first of all , Great movie !! thx to you , i reached the balcony level :) ! But now i'm having some serious issues .. In the clip , you said that we would be safe in te upper left corner. Well , i'm not !! Radec keeps popping nades , and the range of my flame thrower seems to be to short to kill the upcomming Higs .. ( I'm playing on VETERAN ) Any suggestions ... ( BTW , i stink in Rocket launchers , do you have a alternitive ?? )
UPDATE : I'm able to manage everything (But still the elites are hurting me ) until the RPG guys are popping up . I realy stink at the rocket launcher , so i use the sniper , but this is to slow to kill them ! Oh , and another prob ; Rico keeps dying !! that noob-*ss ! I have to keep running to his side , mostly to get HIM revived , and me getting my *ss kicked !
thankyou so much, your flamethrowing method is so much better that that other videos method, but those elite troopers are still a pain in the ass. with this method, i'm sure to finish this faster than I would have before.

to get past the RPG part just go to the balcony and look at the weapon rack there should be a grenade launcher once got that go to the stairs where u cum up tp get to the balcony but dont go down them.once there the RPGs will nevr hit u they just hit the wall behind then wiv the grenade launcher aim about a metre above the RPGs and it should hit them now bombbard the balcony wich the RPGs are standing on. wen bombbarding move left to rightand it should kill every one.then thats how u do the RPGs

The first 2 minutes you don't have to do much but to keep the guys in the distance. It is not too hard to achieve with the LMG. The difference between the shown video and Elite mode is: short burst, quick cover. Change sides if needed. The hard part begins with the guys coming from the balcony to the courtyard. If you struggle with the early beginning, you will have a hard time with this level. Sorry my friend. Keep on and don't give up early.

If you played it for say 400+ times (like I did, probably more), you will know exactly when and where the guys are coming. There are different strategies how to deal with the first waves but key is the part with the Elite troppers coming up the stairs. You need a lot of luck to catch them on one stairway only. I don't recall the RPGs being that hard. The Elite troppers were my personal nightmare due to their speed, shooting accuracy and ability to flank the player. I wish you success.

Thanks for the help aprlcum but i just can't get the Intruder to crash into the building and get the 2nd checkpoint. And i'll camp the stairs but one rocket and i'm gone. Sucks big time the last level. Everything about it. From the difficulty and ridiculouness of it to the crappy ending.
You got rid of the Elite troopers and cleared most of the courtyard fellows? Then the RPGs should be no big deal anymore. If the grenade carpet bombing does not work for you, try the sniper rifle instead. I think it is harder because you have to aim and the enemies will have time to shoot you. They are really fast and very accurate on Elite level. Don't give up, this is the hardest part. As soon as you reached checkpoint 2, the rest is a piece of cake.
Thanks. I did it on Elite almost the way as shown here, as well. I just did not feel the desire to film it once again in this difficulty level. If you or others have a better approach, I am more than willing to listen or watch your videos :).

this is pussy mode. You won't be able to walk around with the knife so freely as shown here in a more hard mode.
BTW is it a coincidence that the helghasts speak german?

I failed when You were hiding and then knifed the wave..then threw 2 nades. I just stood up with rico and waited and got overrun. I will have to try this but its annoying when you die cuz you have to start from whe nthey open

the rpg part is easy, all you do is when you hear the doors open and you hear the ro
ckets, get the sniper rifle and from the balcony go to the left side, stay in the middle of the stairs, watch part 6:13 , because from there the rpg's cant get you, then shoot all the rpg guys through the stair rails whith the sniper,i tried it and it works.

i dont get this, i go up the back on hard mode and get the sniper, i shot raddec like 3 times in the head and he just falls back, and my friends say on normal it is like 1 shot and then he dies

You have to kill all of his soldiers first until you face Radec 1:1 in the end (see part 2 of my video). As soon as he falls back to his balcony, you need very few shots in his head to finish him and the game. On "easy" one headshot is all it takes. Until this point you cannot really stop him. He will always come back, even if you hit his head.

Thanks, my friends never told that, i wasnt playing it on easy aswell, playing it on hard for first time to get elite mode unlocked for the trophy, i will use your stratagy when i verse this freak Radec again lol

u have to knife fight radic its the easiest way. Stand in the middle on top between the two weapon stashes and keep running back and forth when he teleports until he tried to mellee u, u melee him before he gets his attack in and you will at a lot of slashes in, but make sure u time it right. When he teleports back to the opposite stairs (on his last legs) you can snipe him.
Radic can take ALOT of damage. 15 snipers wont even do it lol. You gotta keep at it

The easiest way is to fall back to an alcove with a wall in your back and simply shoot him with the shotgun (as shown in the 2nd video). Does not require any skill, is fast and reliable. As soon as he jumps on his balcony, he does not take much more damage. Few shots are all it takes to finish the level/game. But it is pointless to shoot him as long as his soldiers are alive. Won't harm or even stop him so don't wast your ammo.

OMG lol on easy you can just use your knife 2 do the kills. Try it, just keep moving really quickly and go up and down both stairs if you need to recover. To kill the boss you will need a gun thou.

Sorry it did not work for you, my friend with the good breeding. I am missing your video walkthrough strategy though... ;). The AI behavior is pretty predictable if you played it long enough. I don't call this strategy the best possible. It just worked for me and others. So if you found a better one, feel free to upload a video and share your experience with others.

I can't hear the clicks you suggest listening for. I'm having an audio problem where I can only hear sound effects and voices when I'm looking directly at the thing/person making noise. Example: if I'm looking at Rico I can hear everthing he's saying, but if I look away the audio drops so low I cannot hear anything he's saying. Any suggestions?

your settings are off in your ps3. you somehow have it set to surround sound when you only have sterio speakers. I've had the same problem in uncharted before

I have a full surround sound system with center channel speaker, sub woofer, etc, And I have the PS3 audio set to automatically detect the output. I have this problem with all my FPS games: I have to look at something to hear. AGHHH!

Ok , first of all , Great movie !! thx to you , i reached the balcony level :) ! But now i'm having some serious issues .. In the clip , you said that we would be safe in te upper left corner. Well , i'm not !! Radec keeps popping nades , and the range of my flame thrower seems to be to short to kill the upcomming Higs .. ( I'm playing on VETERAN ) Any suggestions ... ( BTW , i stink in Rocket launchers , do you have a alternitive ?? )

UPDATE : I'm able to manage everything (But still the elites are hurting me ) until the RPG guys are popping up . I realy stink at the rocket launcher , so i use the sniper , but this is to slow to kill them ! Oh , and another prob ; Rico keeps dying !! that noob-*ss ! I have to keep running to his side , mostly to get HIM revived , and me getting my *ss kicked !

thankyou so much, your flamethrowing method is so much better that that other videos method, but those elite troopers are still a pain in the ass. with this method, i'm sure to finish this faster than I would have before.

to get past the RPG part just go to the balcony and look at the weapon rack there should be a grenade launcher once got that go to the stairs where u cum up tp get to the balcony but dont go down them.once there the RPGs will nevr hit u they just hit the wall behind then wiv the grenade launcher aim about a metre above the RPGs and it should hit them now bombbard the balcony wich the RPGs are standing on. wen bombbarding move left to rightand it should kill every one.then thats how u do the RPGs

The first 2 minutes you don't have to do much but to keep the guys in the distance. It is not too hard to achieve with the LMG. The difference between the shown video and Elite mode is: short burst, quick cover. Change sides if needed. The hard part begins with the guys coming from the balcony to the courtyard. If you struggle with the early beginning, you will have a hard time with this level. Sorry my friend. Keep on and don't give up early.

If you played it for say 400+ times (like I did, probably more), you will know exactly when and where the guys are coming. There are different strategies how to deal with the first waves but key is the part with the Elite troppers coming up the stairs. You need a lot of luck to catch them on one stairway only. I don't recall the RPGs being that hard. The Elite troppers were my personal nightmare due to their speed, shooting accuracy and ability to flank the player. I wish you success.

Thanks for the help aprlcum but i just can't get the Intruder to crash into the building and get the 2nd checkpoint. And i'll camp the stairs but one rocket and i'm gone. Sucks big time the last level. Everything about it. From the difficulty and ridiculouness of it to the crappy ending.

You got rid of the Elite troopers and cleared most of the courtyard fellows? Then the RPGs should be no big deal anymore. If the grenade carpet bombing does not work for you, try the sniper rifle instead. I think it is harder because you have to aim and the enemies will have time to shoot you. They are really fast and very accurate on Elite level. Don't give up, this is the hardest part. As soon as you reached checkpoint 2, the rest is a piece of cake.

Thanks. I did it on Elite almost the way as shown here, as well. I just did not feel the desire to film it once again in this difficulty level. If you or others have a better approach, I am more than willing to listen or watch your videos :).
