Warne was a great bowler, the second greatest leg spinner of all time, but he wasn't better than Murali (IMO you can't really compare the two) - but if one is going to do so, look their records against Eng, SA, Ind, Pak (four very good teams that both played a decent amount of test cricket against) and you will see that Murali is superior. He averages 3 better per wicket and his SR is around the 1 better, not signifacnt in short careers, but at the length the two played quite a difference.
