At the time this was filmed (1971), John Huston hadn't yet been cast as Jake Hannaford, so his lines of dialogue are missing. Look up "The Other Side of the Wind" on wikipedia for some context on the film this is from, and what Orson Welles' intentions were.
@cagwa It's *meant* to be mumbo-jumbo. This is one of the films-within-the-film - it's a documentary by a pretentious film-maker, making a film about the subject of the film. But as you say, it's not been cut yet. I would LOVE to see a full cut of this 'lost' movie.
So this is why Steven Spielberg wouldn't touch the film. He saw it at as a scathing satire of his type. I hope he enjoys his sleigh from the set of Citizen Kane, the greedy fuck.
Gary Graver had the only existing rough cut of this, which was shown only once at the cinematheque some years ago, strangely which few people showed for, i hope somehow it'll get released officially someday. I had the opportunity to see it previously thru a friend who worked on it
the hopper lookalike mentions a 'Jake' and towards the end 'Hannaford' slips through - could this actually be material from The Other Side of the Wind?!
Jaglom looking like the great Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida.

2:39 "This is shit! This is crap. This is intellectual bullshit." You can say that again, Henry.

Welles said the character of Jake was a "Hemingway type, the last of the machos".

If these are dailies of Far Side of the Wind, the movie should never be cut together. It's a lot of talking heads mumbo jumbo, not art.

Is Jaglom directing all those misogynistic type questions at Welles?

Aaaggggh! Damn, this clip ends with a very enticing question going unanswered!
Great piece of extremely frustrating conversation.

the question remains, where was this footage found? can the poster reveal this?

how did it come to be transfered to a video format too?

that is Dennis Hopper. If you look it up, he is in the cast of Welles' 'The Other Side of the Wind'.
It's pretty easy to tell it's him, even if he does look like Charles Manson.
