If you trust Kratos and are friends with him more than Zelos in the game, Zelos fights you and you have to kill him to go further on in the game. Getting Zelos in your party is easier than getting Kratos so I think that might be one of the reasons he's in the sequel.
is it really supposed to be easier to have Zelos in your party than Kratos? oops... lol That didn't happen in my game! Poor Zelos. (i'm glad he's not dead) although it's quite confusing to have 2 different endings to the game... have Zel come back to life(for some)(even though he wasn't dead) and then have Kratos GONE!!! AHH NOOO!! Why did he have to go to Deris Karlan!? ......... sorry
I heard it was, but maybe it's not. I automatically answered the door the first time someone knocked on it in Flainor, which is one necessary step for Zelos to stay in the party (so I've read).
I know, I wish Zelos and Kratos could both have stayed. Lloyd had just met his dad for the first time in seventeen years. They didn't get to catch up at all.
I think Presea has the worst problems...Raine's mother yeah, is nuts...just out of whack. Talking to a doll.....for Raine, that has to be painful... I still think Presea's gone through more.
No, if you get the Virginia sidequest in the game, you will see that Raine & Genis' mother doesn't hate them, but loves them to the point of sending them to Sylvarant to be saved from the soldiers that were persuing Virginia and her husband.
RaineXZelos makes no sense, but Kraine makes me giggle. I don't know...I'm more of a fan of Raingal. XD (Raine/Regal)
Seles made me oodles of happy, as did Sheelos. This vid certainly captured their emotions, so bravo.

its actualy not, i did that, i hated zelos cause iff that happens he turns on you and trys to kill you, but then you can get kratos back.

It's in the Gamecube version too. You just have to do the quest at the right time and stuff, which can be the hard part.
