  • Comment removed

  • @104bigTruck your a dual!

  • hey man u kno that's a 1949 right? they old started making these conventional's in 1949 the 350 and the 360 had the exsact same looks u could never notice the differenece between the too really.

  • denver towing?

  • Heh heh! Sorry, the term "recycled toilet paper" brings to my mind weird thoughts - I don't like the thought I would the second or third user.. yucky xP

Ok, the tissue wasn't my issue. As I know it right, in U.S the forest reserve is bigger today as it was in 1930s. The same trend is common in countries where the forestry doesn't mean just cuttings.

  • Just to reply about using recycled Toilet paper

It costs twice as much and more Energy to make Recycled products. So wipe your nose with new Tissue when you are done crying.P.S.Trees don't cry when they fall,Treehuggers do.Peace

  • 1948? I've seen these ones many times but I never knew they were 1948. I love the way they look.

  • 48? Does it have a chain drive?

  • really sweet to see old iron still at work!!!

  • This inspire me to keep running my 85 and 88 Big Cams Big Cams are the real deal!!!!!

  • yah keep it going fellas! Keep it goin! It's interesting to google Washington state timber facts and see how much land is locked up.

  • @104bigTruck why not open up logging again, have some tree planting to replace what we cut down, there's a lot of people on welfare as a career that are capable of this kinf work work dfor this country of ours.

  • So 20-40 years are a long time to renew something?

Now back to the truck video

  • @Varinki trees are a renewable resource after how many years?

As how long do you think it would take a tree to grow, 1,2 or more years?

@MrLortab10 haven't you heard of recycled paper?

    I guess not?

  • @aussiekw anywhere between 20 and 40 years depending on the trees and where they are growing. They usually havest the pines around here after 30 years.

  • @Varinki thanks so waiting 20-40 years for a tree to grow is ok?

  • @aussiekwv Sure! most hardwood trees like alder maple birch are prime at these ages.

  • @aussiekwv That's how long it takes for them to grow. As soon as an area is cut out new trees are planted to replace them.

  • @aussiekwv Yeah why not?

  • Cant wait till i start going to college to be a truck mechanic so i can actually fix these things!!

  • That truck must have alot of work too have 600 horses like building the fuel pump to make it fast ,if thats true u can melt the turbo and pistons if u run it to hard , this is so because by building a pump to were it allows more fuel to get to the motor and that causes it to heat up and melt the turbo etc.

  • I love that old iron. Simplicity of design and minimal electronics.

  • What kinda engine? whats the weight of that load

  • What kinda engine?

  • Thats so cool he uses a 48 pete for logging. You don't see that very often

  • thats one beastly ass truck my friend

  • GOT TO LOVE WASHINGTON STATE.

  • Awesome 1948 Peterbilt Iron Nose Tim. Old School Never Dies.

  • nice peterbilt oh yeah and how do you fit a 600 horsepower motor under that small hood??? lol

  • I'm not even gonna say "What I wouldn't give" because I think we all feel that way.

  • American trucks are the worst that i have ever seen... russian trucks are better 100 times then american ones... watch ural s videos

  • @frigolienrico ...apparently the drugs in Russia are better anyway....what the fuck are you smoking? the swedes have cool trucks with the Scania...they are pretty sweet...sovtransavto...what tha hell is that anyway? Heres a piece of advice, shitcan the gay lookin trucks yall make, and get yourself a w900 with a five and a quarter cat, and you'll want to blow your fellow Americans for creating such a masterpiece!

  • kentworth rules!!

  • @fonzie78384 What's a "Kentworth" ? lol

  • @104bigTruck i think we both know what he meant but obviously he doesnt know much but to just blab his chops

  • @104bigTruck Bout a buck 295 and ya get a big mack to boot. LOL! Just kiddin! Nice to see the old rigs still haulin.

  • The year on this truck can be in the fifty's! Unless the owner changed the radiator shell! The fifty's air shutter's went vertical! Forty's were horizontal! My family had a few of the forty's and one looked older but it actually wasn't . Pete's Ranged in size's and model's due to logging or in California heavy loads and long distance. We still own one its a 42 or 44! The CHP tried telling us it's a 29! We all know the name was not on the front of those trucks till 39! Any how I grew up in one!

  • slective logging is better i think in canada where not having much luck stopping firesand it takes so long for tree to grow back but nice truck nice to see it working and not just sitting in some field rusting

  • That is a sic truck!!!

  • I have to comment on this.Love the truck.Anyone can get a loan and buy a new truck.

And the comment about clearcutting the Forests? This man is doing his job.The reason trees are cut is to supply a demand.Even tree huggers have to wipe their ass.Oh,not to offend anyone, but a loaded logging truck is called a Spotted Owl motorhome. So hug a tree, but kiss my ax.I mean my chainsaw.Thank you for hauling those logs.

  • you have to say its a 1948 because you cant see it... In America they kept building virtually the same trucks untill the late 80's...

  • That's not a 1948 Pete... The round Peterbuild emblem came out in 1952. You have a 1952 truck, 1948 had a different look. PS: can't you use your truck to haul other loads besides logs? It real sucks what you guys do to our Forrest and yes I realize you don't give a dam, But I need to say it anyhow.

  • @mrclean73 And what do you know about what is going on in our forest? Do you live in or near? considering 75% of the nations harvestable timber is locked up in parks, set asides and other reserves proves to me that your statement is full of shite. I do give a damn very much. 8 trees are planted for every tree cut. I think you have been tainted by the left wing new crew. lol Hey isnt that a wood chair you got your ass parked on along with that wood desk holding your computer up? lol

  • @104bigTruck Yes I do live in a wooded area, I know much about timbering, I also know what clear cutting can do to an area, soil erosion and flooding is some of the problems that come from over logging, We only get one planet and we should take better care of it, is all I'm saying, we need to leave it in good shape for the future children that are born after we die. PS: I still say that truck is a 1952 not 1948.

  • @mrclean73 Clear cutting is over rated. Animals thrive infresg green grow backs, floods happen in wooded sloped areas anyway and buffer zones are left now to help these problems and also filtration along ditches and streams are untilized as well. Gld you enjoy the vids :)

  • @104bigTruck Yes and don't be hauling any cows either, as he puts a big beef steak on the grill, pulls off his leather loafers, and heads for his big leather chair, to gobble down his beef ! Nice old school truck !

  • @104bigTruck

hey i love the truck is looks perfects with the fenders, hood and load what model is it .great vid.keep on truckin'

  • @104bigTruck I used to drive a log truck and i've got only a few words for all ya'll damn tree huggers. TRY USING PLASTIC TOILET PAPER TO WIPE YOUR ASS!!!!

  • @mrclean73 Just remember trees are a renewable resource.

  • @Varinki AMEN! We have more trees now simply due to fire prevention alone not including all the replanting efforts.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrclean73 look up a 48 and a 52 pete they look the same, look up your shit before you go jumpin around like your a fuckin liberal god, yea i bet he could use his truck for hauling other things other than logs but the your kid wouldnt have paper so they could learn in school, and then you wouldnt beable to log anything at work if there wasnt paper you could on a computer but power goes out, and it really sucks what you do to my existance i realize you dont give a damn but i need to say it anyhow

  • @hicktown13 See that? We have a sayin' up in WV where I'm from:

"Don't go messin' with folks' livin'!"

  • @mrclean73 where to start with your leftist mess? Is it that you want to protect the "Forrest" instead of groups of trees known as a "forest"? That you, learning your native language from other leftists can't spell worth a "damn" as an adult? The idea that it's ok for YOU to have and use wood products, but others need to do w/o? Where did you learn that it's YOUR forest? Go spend all YOUR money buying up tracts of forest land and do absolutely NOTHING with it...not about to do THAT, are you?

  • @DaMaxxy cutting trees brings paper to specific needs. Don't start cyring when you try wiping your arse with a plastic bag.

  • I love antiques that haven't retired, great video and truck

  • 600 horses working there :P

  • @MegaZsolti yea it's the best way that your truck can't be hijack lol

  • great vid love the side view on the hood hope 2 see more of it !!!

  • Really cool looking pete!!!!!! keep on Truckin!!!!!

  • Get a better video camera THEN get the pic

    Old School Pete... way cool!

  • That camera has it's mic right where my finer holds the top. I had just got the camera so the sound was muffled. I'm lookin into a better camera.

  • You don't know squat city slicker. Renewable plantations can't support the amount of toilet paper needed for people like you who are full of SHITE! lol

  • @104bigTruck some fuckin people, garentee that damaxxy aint been laid in a fort night, dat why he, she, it is a crab ass fuck dip shit tree fuckin bitch

  • sucks dicks

  • @DaMaxxy Your retarded just for that statement. Logging puts a roof over your head, medicine in our cabinets and a seat under your fat lazy ass.

  • @104bigTruck Nice video i liket it the truck remind me of the movie: duel that truck still scare the shit out off me when he is bloeing his horn lol

  • Very Nice truck...beautiful logs!

  • Awesome.

  • very nice!

  • well that might be a 4B turbo to make the big power.

  • Nice retored '48 "Pete"! Did the restoration also include rebuilding the original engine from this truck? If so, that would really make it an impressive job of putting this beast back on the road.

  • He has some kind of a souped up cummins I will ask what the heck it is but I heard he's getting 600hr out of it. I'm sure it's not original.

  • WOW what a pretty truck! ^_^ its awsome!

  • great video for the 600 probably hp the engine must be a cummins ISX or cat C-15?

  • the cat 600 was a c-16 a 16 liter engine

  • I got an 05 thats not nearly the quality that 48 is!!!!

  • I wish my grandfather believed in computers I don't know how to show this to him he lives 500 miles away but he would be talking about it forever since he drove a short logger and worked 36 yrs in the industery

  • a pete is the longest lasting truck ever it freakin has a ton of power including the

    turbo

  • only a pete would last that long

  • nice greeen with envy...

  • damn thats a sweet pete, too bad they dont make em like that anymore...

peterbilt never shoulda stopped makin the 379 even though its a different model, but they should make another narrow hood model like that

  • @richardman1992

Peterbilt should make another truck like that. I wouldn't know about the difference in quality since I have never driven a truck before. But in my opinion, the narrownose petes are the coolest looking. Especially after seeing Duel.

  • Why isn't this truck hauling chickens over Wolf Creek Pass? That's what I wanna see a video of!

  • Wow - very cool -

  • thanks for sharing.fantastic

  • I do like the old trucks, them ol' pete's never quit!!!

  • thy this truck is called LOGGING truck?

  • NW wa.

  • Those old peterbilts are built like tanks they just don't quit.

  • Oh yea,I like that! Thanks for sharing.

  • nice

  • I bet that truck thinks, Hey i remember this same road back when i hauled some real logs- now i got all this 3rd growth to haul. Nice truck, I wish I had the cash to restore one

  • I LOVE old Petes, I've been wanting a Bulletnose for years. this is beautiful

  • It's, "Peterbilt".

  • a good truck never ends! good job man!

  • looks good dude only real men can haul logs hahaha !!! keep on truckin !!!

  • Looks like newer running gear under that truck. Did they rerail it or put it on a newer chassis?

  • and this old girl will still be on the road and working when 3/4 of the trucks that roll off the production line today are dead and gone.

  • NOw thats my kind of rig....minus the logs though...

  • No logs eh? Now that's an open door......Peterbilt got it's beginning in the woods.

  • nice old truck. good to see that pete still out working

  • beautiful. This truck puts a smile on my face every time i see it

  • that's great ! If yu are in Whatcom Skagit counties nort of Seattle Wa. you can see this truck as an everyday hauler often with a three axle pup trailer behind it.

  • this is what peterbuilts are made to do
