@makichitani - His REAL love interest is Sally Acorn (the original female lead in the Sonic series) and they did officially kiss in the older episodes (not Sonic X, I mean the original Sonic episodes. I presume these were before your childhood ^^;) ... Anyway, he LIKES Amy a lot, and does respect her. Yes, he does find her annoying, but I don't think Sonic has much tolerance for many people ... They are dating in the second season, but it's not as though they're madly in love :P
