I think the Underground Waterway was much worser.
The pillars in the poisoned water were so small, almost impossible to jump on them.
This was changed at Legacy of Darkness though.
But yes, the tower of sorcery wasn't much better.

They are to unlock different costumes for Carrie and Reinhardt. I believe if I remember correctly the other special is for unlocking hard mode.

Yea it is, but it was a pain in the ass when I first got there! I kept falling and over jumping when I was jumping to the different gems.

actrice was always my favorite boss, i even started a new game just to save a file at the Room of Clocks point to replay it.
And watching the tower of sorcery made my palms start to sweat haha
