Documents that are in place during Shevardnadze era deserve toughest Criticism. Many Georgians Never read these old documents, or do not understand meaning of overlooked statements.

I did not know much about him before Russia invaded Georgia, but in the weeks that followed he's earned my respect and that of many more.

He gave Georgia a human face and a voice that could not be ignored by the rest of the world.

Soviets tried to defuse the sense of national pride and they promoted ethnic approach to self determination as a substitute. Think of a Pomegranate as a Country, a State, a Nation, It has unity & National pride. South Ossetia is mountain region and it has much less livable space then you think. after ethnic cleansing there is only half of the population left & ethnic Ossetians are near 20000. the rest are other ethnic groups.

As for being Neutral next to Russia - well only dead are neutral next to Russia.

On the other hand Georgia had military forces to defend itself from organized crime not from Russia or any other country.
