@MrBl0nd3 So I just shaved using butter. Considering that my beard is a lot more thicker this time around, it came as no surprise that I couldn't get a close shave. The oils greased up the razor, so it probably couldn't cut as cleanly as it should. It did leave my skin feeling smooth. I did have success shaving my mustache, which is considerably wispier than my beard. I feel I got a really close shave.

Bottom line: if your beard is thick, don't bother.
