I'm not a Ken player but a Ryu player (remember me? :D) anyway, you really need to switch to a TE Fightstick from pad. Playing pad unless you're Gief or that Chun player Shizza is usually detrimental. Not to say it can't be done, but it makes Kara throws about 99% vs your described 20%. Get a fightstick and practice the timing AGAINST A FRIEND ONLINE WHO SITS THERE (the timing is a lot different online than in training mode) and within a day, you'll have 99% Kara throw. 100% CRUCIAL for Ken.
your Ken is pretty solid. I suggest use Tatsu to finish a combo rather than SRK. Then wait for Gouken to do his Kongoshin counter move, and go for a throw. Also do empty-jump ins and start attack with cr.lk, it will evade his first Kongo and also his EX Tatsu because your body will be low position.
Well, tip number 2 is use combos with EX tatsu more often. It's good mind game at the end of the combo cuse you can thrown, start new combo with crouch light kick, shoryuken, jump, back dash... it's so many options.
@fcampelo24 Thanks and I can do kara throw, but only 1 out of 5 times.I use the PS3 pad and use forward HK for kara throw, but the range is not that huge as the forward MK though.
@fcampelo24 Oh man... I know what you mean. It's really freakin hard to perform kara thrown using PS3 gamepad. I'm using a 6 button madcatz gamepad. I'd say I can do 4 kara thrown ou of 5 tries.

You can be a more complete Ken player if you know this.

I'd say use the fake kick more often to get near ground position. It's good sometimes.

@LiangHuBBB It was a counter hit, probably the hitbox got bigger when she tried to punish your jump.
