1) I can't with these needledrop zombies appearing everywhere...lord! 2) I don't even think she sounds like a man on this song, I don't get the comments....... Regarding someone asking if her voice is unedited, yes, on her first album 'have it all' (lovely album) it is. She also played around with her upper register on it, at times succumbing to kate bush esque vocal theatrics. 'The One' is a perfect example of PTR's ability to make cheesy sounds beautiful. Much love to PTR and her craft!

@johnnydeppownsme That's the point. In her first album, her voice is unedited a few times throughout... But PTR wants to be as ambiguous and gender-neutral as possible. I really think "W" is a new chromosome Janine has created - this character she has created goes beyond an "X" or "Y" chromosome.
