1. Remove the wipers from the car to remove the rust. (too late now!)
2. Don't pour the rust remover on - use a brush - you won't waste as much. $8 a bottle!
3. Try not to get the rust remover on the paint work. They usually attack the paint.
4. That panel under the windshield that is rusting is probably removable (I think I saw a screw there) This will make it much easier to fix it. Doing repairs with things in situe will damage the body unnecessarily.
Do you still have the Engine from this car?

Yup, still sitting in the car sadly. I've got one more alternator mount to remove, and then I think I'm ready to hoist it out.
