Harvey Snyder was the name of Emma Snyder's deceased husband and the father of Holden on ATWT. Douglas Marland must've been writing GL at this time because he used the same name for a character when he was writing ATWT. He must've really liked the name "Harvey Snyder".
Absolutely loved the Alan and Amanda relationship - it was just as complex as his one with Phillip. It had years of story. Later GL writers/producers have made a fatal mistake in not developing it through the years, as well as keeping Jennifer Richards off the canvas. There was more story to tell about Jennifer's son with Mark.
That's where Luther's Corner is. They don't call that that much on ATWT, in the present day, but Luther's Corner is where the Snyder Farm is, 10 miles outside of Oakdale. Oakdalian has and is running the October 1985 episode right after Lily first met Holden, & in that episode that is what Holden says.
Geraldine Court (ex-Jennifer) passed away at her home in Warwick after a long illness, she was 71 one years old.

Notice they commented on H.B. Lewis. It would be a year before he showed up in Springfield.

This clip is from August 1982 by the way, around the time that Silas Crocker kidnapped Nola the second time.

I wonder if Harvey Snyder is related to the Snyders that reside on a farm in Luther's Corner? -:)

Or perhaps the Snyder farm outside of Oakdale?
