i dont think itll run smooth but im not sure about the 9400gt, if you ask me upgrade to 4gb of ram for $30, see if you can and enable HT on your processor to make it seem dual-core, and get a 9600GT for $100.

Itll cost around $140 in total with shipng but fuck it youll run most games at max with great fps.

if you wanna upgrade ur graphics card, check your slots, amperage, psu, motherboard standards, bios, etc etc

@leckerpussy 256MB Nvidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900. i recommend u a 9500gt (which isn't expensive) because this game demands alot of requirements and one of them being a dual core 2.0 GHz processor and your Pentium 4 is only 1 core so a 9500 gt will run it in playable fps :)

I also bought 2 GB Ram "MTD" and will switch from Pentium 4 3Ghz to Athlon 64 x2 4200+. Will it be a giant leap?

@leckerpussy you got a great deal, just get a can of compressed air and blow the heatsink if it has any dirt becasue those cards using the g92 65mm tend to run warm and toasty, make sure you have the correct power supply wattage and ventilation. 8800gts outpeerforms a 9500 so you will run it for sure :)

I love to produce music, so actually I need a silent PC. In Windows XP SP3, is there a way to "unplug" ('in the OS, but not hardware) the 8800gts on the fly and on demand, so that the mainboard ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe will only use the other 8500?

@leckerpussy not that I heard of, for quietness you can lower the fans peed with evga precision or riva tuner but keep the card out of 90c and you won't burn out your card :)

although when you are gaming (crysis, gta, farcry 2 or any intense game) put the fan speed up so it keeps the gpu cooler and it last longer. GTA is a great game, so great i beat it like 6 times yet i never get bored of it. If you ever get it get ultimate textures pack :P
