It really isn't the same engine. There are tweaks to the K20Z3 that makes it a bit more refined, and with that a bit harder to tune.

Si has drive by wire, whereas RSX-S doesn't. Si has a completely different Mass Airflow Sensor too.

Essentially they're both K20's, but more like... fraternal twins, not identical.

Current Civic in Japan is the model: FD2, not same spec as FG2. In Europe, it is FN2. The model I like most among those 3 is FG2 available in North America. I wish Honda would release the model here in Japan as well.
