I usually throw my samples in the nn-xt. I don't like rex much. Do you think there's any advantages of using rex orjust preference?

@vegafx12 alot of people told me that I dunno i guess its preference..rex is real easy for me

@vegafx12 with rex you can chop the sample into "notes" making time stretch and chopping a lot more simple I guess, the down side is you need to chop the sample up in recycle and its a bit long winded. if I'm using a straight sample and dont want to "chop" it I use the nn-19 rather than the nn-xt as its a bit simpler. But thats just me.

Aight word! I got 1 more question? I can take a wave file and load it in recycle but it ends up being huge! I want 2 cut out the parts i dont want in cool edit first! but when i do that it saves as a session and then i cant load it in 2 recycle 2 save as a rex file! My question is how do i save the sample in cool edit so that i can put it into recycle? Do i have 2 convert it with another program? Or is there an easier way?

@jr5891 load it in cool edit split it up then highlight the part of the song u split, then right click on it and select edit waveform...it will show ur selection in a window, click file and click save selection, and select windows pcm wav and do all ur parts like that...only thing is ull need multiple dr rex players, thats why i upgraded to reason 5

Nice tut man. The beat is dope too. Sounds even better w/ ur man spittin on it. Here's a sweet little tip 4 u though.......when using Dr. Rex bring the polyphony down to 1 & turn the bottom release all the way up. What this does is when u hit a key to play a chop u don't have to hold that key down. Hit another key & that first note gets cut off with whatever key you hit. Like on a MPC.
