Doom metal is one of my favourite sub-genres of Metal (with my favourite being symphonic), and these are some really good bands you've chosen, although I think Daylight Dies would have been nice to have here.

Hate the guttural lyrics-- I've been in heavy metal since the beginning with Sabbath and I never liked this growling crap. I guess its atmospheric sometimes... I think GUTTURAL= DEATH, and Doom aint Death.

doom metal has a wide range from trad to funeral and beetween doom/death, gothic doom, black doom etc... i'm an "old" woman and i didn't grow up with mdb : just discoverd them 5 years ago and i love 70°s rock and hard rock ^^

wow, i mean i gave this another shot and it's just super lame. What does one do when they listen to this, sleep? I guess that's where it could be useful. Decorayah (*sp) is another one of these bands, and damn, it's nearly imposible to get into them too. I guess this style is for seom but definitely made me more anti- when I was looking for the "true" doom or be doomed footage.
