Hello, I have a Tascam 122 mk II and I use sonar essential cakewalk. in my laptop with windows vista. I have an older version of keyboard connected. now I am about to get a Korg Pa 800 keyboard. I know how to connect it like I did the old keyboard, but do I have to change setting of the software or the sound card? is there any way for the Tascam to recognize the new keyboard or just I plug it in and use it? please help me in this regard.
i have cubase le 5 and not got a soundcard but the rest of my stuff is good quality,my vocals record with a sort of robitc/flange effect is that bcuz i dont have a soundcard.

I bought the TASCAM US-122mkII, but I cannot get it to install on Windows XP SP3 (32-bit) Quad Core PC. It says "installation failed"
I used the provided driver CD and also tried downloading the correct drivers (Website claims it works on SP2 and SP3). The unit does install and work (albeit very slow) on a Windows Vista (32 bit) Laptop.
Ok, I have the Tascam 144, pretty much exactly like the one in your video. I Have my Monitors connected through the line out. I want to connect a subwoofer as well. Can i do that without having to buy another piece of equipment?

i wanna get a soundcard but i aleady bought a mixer, im used to using mines, should i stick with it, when i record kyboard, i use it as a control :P, the most i would do is geet a internal sound card with those quarter inch inputs, but to connect the mixer to, but since i bought it already, id rather do that, should i???
Hey man, thanks for this great How to vid but i have a little question, i just bought the US - 122 mkII, i installed it with the CD that came with it and now im trying to use it in the program called record. but it doenst work, I've got it plugged in with the USB into my PC and my guitar cable in Line/Guitar In R but nothing happens. hey useful video dude...i hav a question i knw how to record audio tracks wid tascam but is there anyway we could use the tascam wid the web camera we hav on our computer....i mean u knw how youtube videos hav such a crystal clear sound....some random videos people singing....yea so i was wondering if anybody could help me out wid tat????
@sjoerdRAWR your computer CPU speed and memory will be a big factor when it comes to recording. The crackling your hearing is due to your computer not fully being able to record with the lower latency. You will have to deal with the latency delay and record. The only other thing to check is to make sure the proper sound driver is selection in your device manager.
@EZwayTech When i plug my mic into the right input, i can only hear it in my right headphones. When i plug it in to the left input, i can only hear it in my left headphone. how do i balance it out on the interface to i can hear it in both ears? please someone help me!
@EZwayTech is it in any way possible that my computer is too 'bad' (its not a good computer, not verry fast and stuff, but hey it works) for recording with the Tascam trough Cubase. Bc when i record my Mic (Shure PG48 i think?) the sound turns out te be really bad and i hear a little cracking sound when i try to put my latency on low. (When i put it on normal it records way to late and this is very frustrating and anoying) I hope you understand me. English is not my first language (: thanks
I have a question, i bought the us-122mk2 track pack with cubase L4, this trackpack also have a TM-78 microphone what im using connecting with the interface, my problem is that when i connected the microphone to the interface and the interface to the computer, when i try to record or do something the microphone do not work... i dont know if you could tell me something that maybe im doing wrong idk.. Thank you.. oh, by the way, the drivers and the registration was fine so.. thanks again
im planning on buying this fro christmas but can some one tell me specifcally how to record my electric drum kit with this ... the stupid fuck skiped da midi part
hey dude, great tutorial, i have a problem, i have disabled my integrated audio and start using the us-122 as my primary sound card, i installed the latest 2.02 drivers but the problem is that if i check the sound properties on windows audio control panel next to the clock it only says taskam is 16 bits on the advanced options.. is that right? shouldnt be 24 bits?
Real noob question, my apologies. With a Rode NT1-A condenser mic with XLR in either the L or R XLR input port (front of unit), after I record and I want to listen to the track, I only hear playback out of either the left or right headphone. How do I get it to playback in stereo?
i got a question. i have the axiom 49, nd for a while it hasnt been working with the computer ive been tryna hook it up to. so i ended up gettin the tascam us 122 to hopefully get it to work. i was wondering if yud be able to help me out at all

This is a pretty good soundcard i own it aswell , but if you got 300-500 bucks to spend then deffnitly get what u can thats above the 300 mark! but this does the trick for sure!
Does anyone know what kind of sound card you hook up to your turntable and computer. So you can be able to convert vinyl to mp3 b/c i heard the usb turntables suck
I got this to use with Cubase 5 on Windows 7 and I've had nothing but problems trying to get anything happening...the metronome is out of sync and anything you record is like a 16th note late.....bizarre...apparently it's a Win 7 driver problem.
im having head phones problems with my new tascam 144 its loud on one side and low on the other can someone help me on that??? i bought my adapter for my h phones the same day i got the tascam also!
for the cubase le 4 how do you select the microphone and the studio cause the directions said to switch it to the us-144 mkll but when i do that i cant hear the sound

Thanks for the video; some people talks about blue screen errors with these Tascam sound cards. Have you ever got any?
javierf55 8 months ago
Please answer asap..
1. What's the sound quality for vocal recording?
2. How much does it cost?
3. Is it worth buying for artist/singers/rappers?
hmongboi206 9 months ago
@hmongboi206 Quality is pretty good, but part of that depends on the quality of your mic and your skills with audio recording.
I'm in Canada, mine cost about $130 CAD, it's probably cheaper in the States
And yes, if you cant to do home recording you need some sort of audio interface, this is as good as any to start off with
