To those who're wondering why he's singing the Chorus with a bit lower voice:

I think it's because of the background.

If Tim sings the actual chorus, the background would've to sing pretty high. Though I like the studio version it's a pity that they have to change the chorus while singing live.

@Ooyo00 it's because he can't sing that high and intensely for any extended period of time. the vocal chords tire out and physically wouldn't be able to do it. he's singing the harmony (which is actually lower) and the other vocalist is singing the melody but whoever was doing sound didn't have his mic up loud enough :P

no its not in a lower key. /face palm. hes singing the lower harmony. He probably has trouble reaching the higher harmony of the chord they sing during the chorus, so he sings the lower harmonies of the chord. It's alright, though. At least, he sounds good live unlike some bands who attempt to sing things they can't.
