Kizomba, not Kizumba, a common mistake especially with Zumba being marketed, in UK. BUT.....this is not Kizomba in any way, maybe a kind of shuffling Argentine Tangbada!!!!. True Angolan/Portuguese Kizomba comes in different forms, (this ain't one of them!) all are smooth, sensual, beautiful, and danced with true regard to the beat and particularly the musicality. It is easy to learn the basics, and beginners can look, (and feel) good, even after one PROPER lesson. eg Look at den 33775
Please.. do some Tai Chi and some Bellydance and get some flow in your body, it is so stiff I cringed.. learn to breathe and relax and calm your mind. Tune into your partner and spend some time social dancing and TAKING lessons.
Did not fit the music.. the steps and side to side motion in the middle of the body can VARY in size to fit the feeling of the song as it changes even while the steps timing remains unchanged. Dancing happens between the notes!
The demo at the end of the video really highlights the main problem with this dance lesson ie if the instructor can't dance Kizomba himself then how can he teach it? ie his dance steps are not in time to the music and moves are too complex.

you are too technical. you cannot be teaching kizomba at all, its not even close. try too watch some good kizomba videos and learn from them, you can't be classified as a beginer either, its quite bad what you doing here
You are right. Kizomba come from Angola and it has semba and zouk influence. The angolan people is a people with a culture very versatile and it you see in its musics such as merengue, salsa, rumba, tango, soul music, jazz, etc, etc.. My parents time people danced all songs even rock dance. I love it. In Angola was always normal to salon dance and it come from long time ago. There has always been big dancers.
Ah, finally kizomba has become SOOO big that people will try to pedal stuff like this under the name "Kizomba". We all know there are tango "influences" in kizomba...but this is taking the mikey! PLEASE rename this post as it is seriously giving Kizomba a bad name!!

You are dancing Tango not Kizomba, Step 3a is called on whole world "saida" not basic. Watch any film with Kwenda, AfroLatin Connection and You will se difference. And one thing, You are saing that You dancing kizomba, so why in the end You dancing to ZOUK??? Even first basic is not like Kizomba )=
