is this video supposed to appear like a normal, fluid video? or is it supposed to be choppy frame rates/stop-motion type thing? cause it's coming out choppy for me....
@laralamaainatga ha ha ha ha, if thats what you really see, then you are cursed by all the gods that ever existed to not be able to look further...... sorry for that!
Here he comes, he's all dressed in black PR shoes and a big straw hat He's never early, he's always late First thing you learn is you always gotta wait I'm waiting for my man Up to a Brownstone, up three flights of stairs Everybody's pinned you, but nobody cares He's got the works, gives you sweet taste Ah then you gotta split because you got no time to waste I'm waiting for my man
I'm waiting for my man Twenty-six dollars in my hand Up to Lexington, 125 Feel sick and dirty, more dead than alive I'm waiting for my man Hey, white boy, what you doin' uptown? Hey, white boy, you chasin' our women around? Oh pardon me sir, it's the furthest from my mind I'm just lookin' for a dear, dear friend of mine I'm waiting for my man

@greenrate you can totally argue that is is, first of all its quite arrogant to presume that you cant and two, the sheer contrast creates an audio visual relationship of its own. Music does not always have to necessarily "sync up" or be blatantly following the same "intensity" or "presence" as the visual. It is a mood of its own: very dynamic visuals, very stimulating paired with a reduced, string filled musical bed.
its also a matter of personal taste, its subjective.
You're attacking me for being "arrogant" . . . while at the same time arguing that it's "also a matter of personal taste . . . subjective"?
You're demonstrably impolite and unreasonable.
If you can't undertake to exchange perspectives in a well-considered and considerate way . . . you're very likely to provoke people into telling you to: FUCK OFF!

@DevelopYourself and @echoesonice the majority of dancers, at least non-russian ones, are NOT anorexic and are examples of people who are in near-perfect physical condition. oh and the choreographer for lalala doesn't choreograph to a set piece of music from the very beginning - they can literally do this at any speed
Yes, yes, Iknow this is not pollitivally correct. But : I don't give a f... of what you think about my opinion. For your info, yes, I've seen dancer and anorexic person both, close. It was the same person.
@DevelopYourself I have to disagree. That is a human in prime physical condition for her age and training. There's nothing wrong with being extremely fit. She worked very, very hard for that control and talent, and it shows. If she's like my ballet friend Melissa, she eats just enough food to maintain her peak.

this video is amazing, only problem is the guy lol. He just so uuugggghhhh. A smoother more elegant hip hop dancer that could keep the same straight forward face would have fit the role to dance with this woman much better, this guy makes her seem dull & throws the video off lol.
The reason she is so quick is because he "moderates" her movement. He spins her and stops her like a toy. He is like a puppet master. At the end he dies and there is no one to spin her. That is why she looks back expectantly in stillness. Never to move again without her puppet master.
The song is The Velvet Underground - "Waiting For The Man" readaptation by David Lang with Nadine Medawar on vocals. Here it is a high quality mp3 for you to enjoy:
This dance tells me that she is trying to leave him but keeps getting drawn back in because she just cant live without him. What it makes me feel is that i wish id went to ballet classes when i was little
Okay I'll have a go at answering this, to me in interperts the complex nature of relationship the balance and beauty that a relationship needs in order to survive and develop. Always changing direction, always giving supporting, sometimes close to collapsing then finding a way forward, two moving as one.....
i actually did not think of this dance as anything to do with a relationship....until it was pointed out below.... now that is all i can see.... and i wish it wasnt....
Maybe I could help you. Relationships don't have to take place only beetween human beings. Also thoughts, feelings, math, nature etc. only survive while moving.

I have seen something similare years ago at tv, I think it was the work of the same choreograph.
The persian cat with seven lifes, some of it, not wasted, but ended.

Ahem. The music and the choreography . . . each of which is fine in its own right . . . have no discernible connection here.
You can't argue that's a good thing . . .
