  • @robynvanhorn originally this is "i'm waiting for the man" by Velvet Undergorund

  • this is like dark picasso art made into ballet. This is part of the reason why i dance.

  • I have seen something similare years ago at tv, I think it was the work of the same choreograph.

The persian cat with seven lifes, some of it, not wasted, but ended.

  • @Searcher123456789

In fact, it was not similare, it was this :-)

  • @Searcher123456789 It is it is from France July 2, 2002 right before my daughter was born in November, 2002 I named my daughter-- Amelia Jolene for this piece and my own name. She has studied french ballet since she was 2 years old

  • Ahem. The music and the choreography . . . each of which is fine in its own right . . . have no discernible connection here.

    You can't argue that's a good thing . . .

  • @greenrate you can totally argue that is is, first of all its quite arrogant to presume that you cant and two, the sheer contrast creates an audio visual relationship of its own. Music does not always have to necessarily "sync up" or be blatantly following the same "intensity" or "presence" as the visual. It is a mood of its own: very dynamic visuals, very stimulating paired with a reduced, string filled musical bed.

its also a matter of personal taste, its subjective.

  • @JoeTMR

You're attacking me for being "arrogant" . . . while at the same time arguing that it's "also a matter of personal taste . . . subjective"?

    You're demonstrably impolite and unreasonable.

If you can't undertake to exchange perspectives in a well-considered and considerate way . . . you're very likely to provoke people into telling you to: FUCK OFF!

  • Hola hermoso video-danza!!!!

me gustaria mucho saber de quien es la musica

  • Beautifull and so inspiring!

Can't wait for more to see.

  • So beautifully crafted, I would love to write music for this style of dancing!

  • this is unique...

  • SUPER!!! FABULOUS!

  • The only thing that is missing here is the HD quality

  • holly shit wow

  • ... the coreography with that ecene .......and these spotlights ...... damn

    i likeit so much

  • omg.. that's so amazing ..

  • @DevelopYourself and @echoesonice the majority of dancers, at least non-russian ones, are NOT anorexic and are examples of people who are in near-perfect physical condition. oh and the choreographer for lalala doesn't choreograph to a set piece of music from the very beginning - they can literally do this at any speed

  • Magnificent!

  • The dance in perfection !...

    Tnks...

  • their moves are amazing. and this music...THIS is art

  • absolutely FABULOUS..!

  • How do you know she is/they are anorexic? That's a horrible thing to say.

  • is it the first time you see a dancer????

  • Yes, yes, Iknow this is not pollitivally correct. But : I don't give a f... of what you think about my opinion. For your info, yes, I've seen dancer and anorexic person both, close. It was the same person.

  • THAT was Emotionally IN CRE DI BLE - BEAU TI FUL!!!!!!!!

    Fantastic! BRAVA E BRAVO!

  • was it sped up or are they really dancing that fast?

  • no, they really are dancing that fast. I have the dvd

  • wow thats so amazing!

    that is true talent!

  • tres jolie video 5*****amitiè

  • looks like a tango ballet with cramberries

  • perfect body. =]

  • @dearestcaroline her? I don't think that she is an example of health, rather too slim from much of exercises.

  • @DevelopYourself I have to disagree. That is a human in prime physical condition for her age and training. There's nothing wrong with being extremely fit. She worked very, very hard for that control and talent, and it shows. If she's like my ballet friend Melissa, she eats just enough food to maintain her peak.

  • My jaw is on the floor right now!!! OMG this choreography, dancing AND Videography is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

  • ...exquisite...

  • its like fast forward and pause. i love it !

  • Flawless

  • Charvius what a shallow comment, the (guy) is 50% of the performance I doubt a hippity hop dancer would have the skill

to add to this performance just enjoy it for what it is....

  • This is sheer precision. This is dance at it's finest!

  • emotional, genious, beautifull...

  • Incredible!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! pure talents!!!

  • è il genio.

  • Does anyone know who the dancers are in this video?

  • W

    O

    W

    This is intense! <3 it

  • i miss louise lecavalier , she is one of the most amazing dancers ever

  • The reason she is so quick is because he "moderates" her movement. He spins her and stops her like a toy. He is like a puppet master. At the end he dies and there is no one to spin her. That is why she looks back expectantly in stillness. Never to move again without her puppet master.

  • its a different guy when she looks back

  • mistaya!

national ballet school and john cranko school stuttgart

    +instinct :)

  • I love hearing her pointe shoes striking the floor in 2:31-2:40

  • That girl is really amazing! She's soooo quick in her turns, can't even count it! And true, her turnout is something else too !

  • The song is The Velvet Underground - "Waiting For The Man" readaptation by David Lang with Nadine Medawar on vocals. Here it is a high quality mp3 for you to enjoy:

    t i n y u r l .c o m/bzrojv

  • Thank you, that's very kind :)

  • Thank you... seriously. absolutely beautiful

  • 4:43 is truly beautiful

  • absolutely agree, and you can see her muscles tighten which really brings me to awe her control. ugh!

  • amelia

  • her turnout is amazing

  • anyone know what the music track is called?

  • Who are the dancers in this video? I really enjoyed watching it - powerfull yet smooth :)

  • ah the original piece is longer

why didnt they upload the whole thing :/

the story is incomplete without the rest.

    awesome piece tho.

  • the wholw thing is in another account you´ll find it as amelia part 1, part 2 etc there are 9 parts with jaayyaannaa.

  • I cried

  • Fantastisk FLOT:)))

  • what is the meaning or values that this art communicates ? what does it make you feel ?

  • This dance tells me that she is trying to leave him but keeps getting drawn back in because she just cant live without him. What it makes me feel is that i wish id went to ballet classes when i was little

  • thanks for answering... now.. I ask myself, what is art ?

  • Okay I'll have a go at answering this, to me in interperts the complex nature of relationship the balance and beauty that a relationship needs in order to survive and develop. Always changing direction, always giving supporting, sometimes close to collapsing then finding a way forward, two moving as one.....

  • i actually did not think of this dance as anything to do with a relationship....until it was pointed out below.... now that is all i can see.... and i wish it wasnt....

  • Maybe I could help you. Relationships don't have to take place only beetween human beings. Also thoughts, feelings, math, nature etc. only survive while moving.

    Hope you understand my English.

  • hauntingly, perfectly beautiful. one of my favorites! david lang playing cello, btw....

  • Amazing and beautiful...

I just bought this DVD and loved it!
