MAG, SOCOM, KZ2, and MGO are massively popular online games that are each very unique, have hardcore followings, and are exclusive to the PS3. Games on blu-ray do not read like games on DVD because it has way more space and memory to fit in. And blu-ray is actually faster then DVD's since the memory is less compressed so you basically owned yourself with that comment.

Not all PC's have disk trays or DVD's. The computer i got has a blu-ray player built in and does not have a disk tray. And last time i checked PC's are not consoles and you can manual upgrade the hardware/software on a PC. So of course it will have better graphics then the PS3 and 360.(on mutliplats)

You should never lose the sales receipt for any expensive product you purchase and all companies void the warranty if you don't have it. All consoles have a cost of repair from their manufacturer after the warranty period and/or if you don't have a receipt. How you feel about PS3 games is subjective. The Sony store (used to) update after the Live store, and each company has their own approval period. Microsoft bought timed exclusive rights for GTA4. PS3 exclusives look amazing.

This just blows. I use(d) the other OS feature to run Ubuntu, and only updated for PSN. I pulled out my old PS3 packaging box and there it is, written on the side, "Other OS" under the features list. Is this Legal? can I sell a Lawnmower then later disable its catcher feature? sure its still a lawnmower, but it wont catch grass anymore. If even one of those features is removed, the product is no longer how the consumer bought it and might have affected his decision in not buying it. Features implemented later are not considered at the point of purchase. Removing or not giving the consumer the feature advertised once he or she has purchased the product is called a bait-and-switch.

Sounds like removing the bait and putting in substitute features to me. As technology advances & products gain the ability tochange their feature-set with software, the ethics &laws of customer protection must be reformed in order to remain relevant. Firmwares don't get a special pass. Law is above the TOS/EULA.

To be considered a bait and switch, the seller (Sony) has to convince people that buying their product is better than a competing product, that they also happen to sell. The PS3 is 1 product, you either buy it or you don't. They didn't switch anything out. They simple took out the feature and it's not available to you anymore if you update.
@gtabmx Under False Advertising, you would have to provide the original Ad that advertised linux (good luck with that) AND this ad has to be able to prove the intent to deceive. For example, you would need an ad that says "This has the ability to run Linux" You would also need to prove that Sony did this without good reason. They had a good reason. Anti-piracy. Whether you believe that or not is up to you, but in court that is protecting their business interest.

2. By using the 3.21OO CFW when it comes out, you are still tricking your PS3 to do something that it should do officially
3. Using the 3.21OO CFW will probably get you banned because it will not be difficult for Sony to perform hash checks on your PS3's NAND or whatnot. I advise you to use the DNS or proxy hack until both of them no longer work.
Yeah, that's true, but what I ma saying is that currently, GeoHot is not spoofing the NAND and that until people confirm that the CFW is undetectable the DNS and Proxy tricks are the safest and most "legal" ways. Trust me, I am hoping for being able to spoof hardware on the PS3 and run any unsigned code too.

Thanks, I actually tried my best to make sure that the text matched what the characters were saying to within 1 or 2 syllables to make sure it was believable. I've seen many videos where the text is way too long for what he is saying, or way too short. Also, I tried to make sure repeated German words came out to the same thing in English, like "at Sony". What makes good subs are well timed pauses and for the text to disappear at consistent times after the end of the voice.

You know what a Operative System is?? Other OS gave you the possibility to instal any Linux OS in the PS3, the YellowDog was developed for that, also you could instal Ubuntu and RedHat, but because the tryes to hack the PS3, Sony decide to delete that feature
OtherOS "was" (and still is/might be) a feature on the PS3 which allowed you to run a Linux distribution (i.e. an operating system) on the PS3, under limitations. You basically had a Cell processor personal computer.

Games on blu-ray do not read like games on DVD because it has way more space and memory to fit in. And blu-ray is actually faster then DVD's since the memory is less compressed so you basically owned yourself with that comment.

Not all PC's have disk trays or DVD's. The computer i got has a blu-ray player built in and does not have a disk tray. And last time i checked PC's are not consoles and you can manual upgrade the hardware/software on a PC. So of course it will have better graphics then the PS3 and 360.(on mutliplats)
Also 360 does not have a web broswer so that was a lie u said. And 360 will never ever have blu-ray because its owned by sony. So get use to using DVD's all the time playing games.

once agian u fail to prove that playstation network dosent have mics. Unlike you i played games like MAG, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Socom Confrontation. (all are PS3 exclusives) In everyone who plays except maybe 1 or 2 have mics. Also The reason why you cant fly choppers on mag is because it takes away from the game. Your so use to playing games like call of duty and bfc. Does every FPS need choppers?? I dont see halo or gears using choppers.
Also squads range from 8-32 on mag

And why do u keep say PSN has mutes. If you have ever played on the Playstation network you would know that most people do have mics/headsets (about 85% if you wanna know the facts). And PS3 is outselling the 360 worldwide. (been doing so since january 2010)

You should never lose the sales receipt for any expensive product you purchase and all companies void the warranty if you don't have it. All consoles have a cost of repair from their manufacturer after the warranty period and/or if you don't have a receipt. How you feel about PS3 games is subjective. The Sony store (used to) update after the Live store, and each company has their own approval period. Microsoft bought timed exclusive rights for GTA4. PS3 exclusives look amazing.

@67oesen Well, the work required to redo the audio with Russian, that I would need to find and edit properly. And also, the subbed words match the German words that are repeated and the tone, so it will be very difficult. The best thing to do would be to watch it with no volume. Or, you can find me a similar video from a Russian movie :)

This just blows. I use(d) the other OS feature to run Ubuntu, and only updated for PSN. I pulled out my old PS3 packaging box and there it is, written on the side, "Other OS" under the features list. Is this Legal? can I sell a Lawnmower then later disable its catcher feature? sure its still a lawnmower, but it wont catch grass anymore. Fuck sony, this is just another nail in the coffin, next console I buy will be an Xbox, at least an xbox still does what the packaging says it will

Even if you're a fanboy, you should understand that it's simply wrong to remove features from a product that you paid for, even though you're probably not the one who paid for your system. When you buy a product, you buy it for the features it advertises; removing advertised features from said product constitutes something called a "bait and switch", which is disrespectful to consumers and usually illegal.
And "countless" is pushing it. A lot.

Go check the System Update history, all the way back to 1.10. They didn't have to give us any of that.

Let's sum this up: Sony didn't add hundreds of features; they removed a few minor features and added a few minor features. The problem is that they removed a major feature that was used to advertise the system. That's the problem right there.

What about HDMI Full that made the picture look so much better? That was on an update. Custom XMB? Update. Rumble? Update. I really could go on. From your perspective, you had all that when you first started. When I bought it for 600, I didn't have all that.

Let's say you bought a car with a sunroof because you really wanted one, even if it was a minor feature. You could have bought other cars, but they didn't have sunroofs. Now let's say I buy the same car with the sunroof but I don't ever use it or car about it. Now, the car company brings in our cars after a year and repairs them and removes the sunroofs, but they add keyless entry and a car starter. I might be happy with that, but you won't be. Because you really wanted the sunroof.

Features that are there when a consumer purchases a product are selling points and affect the consumer's decision regarding the purchase. If even one of those features is removed, the product is no longer how the consumer bought it and might have affected his decision in not buying it. Features implemented later are not considered at the point of purchase. Removing or not giving the consumer the feature advertised once he or she has purchased the product is called a bait-and-switch.

To be considered a bait and switch, the seller (Sony) has to convince people that buying their product is better than a competing product, that they also happen to sell. The PS3 is 1 product, you either buy it or you don't. They didn't switch anything out. They simple took out the feature and it's not available to you anymore if you update.

@gtabmx Under False Advertising, you would have to provide the original Ad that advertised linux (good luck with that) AND this ad has to be able to prove the intent to deceive. For example, you would need an ad that says "This has the ability to run Linux" You would also need to prove that Sony did this without good reason. They had a good reason. Anti-piracy. Whether you believe that or not is up to you, but in court that is protecting their business interest.

think of it this way, If they had just switched off ps2 backwards compatability people would be going mental. The OtherOS feature is just as if not more valuable than ps2 playback in my eyes and has now been removed or at least gives you no other option than to pick to retain it over losing another service (onlince gaming)

I usually don't like these Hitler remixes, they usually fall very flat to me, with the occasional gem. This video is one of those gems. Great job indeed.

I am well aware of it but you should know that:
1. What Sony did is still wrong and people should be (and are) pissed about it
2. By using the 3.21OO CFW when it comes out, you are still tricking your PS3 to do something that it should do officially
3. Using the 3.21OO CFW will probably get you banned because it will not be difficult for Sony to perform hash checks on your PS3's NAND or whatnot. I advise you to use the DNS or proxy hack until both of them no longer work.

Yeah, that's true, but what I ma saying is that currently, GeoHot is not spoofing the NAND and that until people confirm that the CFW is undetectable the DNS and Proxy tricks are the safest and most "legal" ways. Trust me, I am hoping for being able to spoof hardware on the PS3 and run any unsigned code too.

Thanks, I actually tried my best to make sure that the text matched what the characters were saying to within 1 or 2 syllables to make sure it was believable. I've seen many videos where the text is way too long for what he is saying, or way too short. Also, I tried to make sure repeated German words came out to the same thing in English, like "at Sony". What makes good subs are well timed pauses and for the text to disappear at consistent times after the end of the voice.

You know what a Operative System is?? Other OS gave you the possibility to instal any Linux OS in the PS3, the YellowDog was developed for that, also you could instal Ubuntu and RedHat, but because the tryes to hack the PS3, Sony decide to delete that feature

OtherOS "was" (and still is/might be) a feature on the PS3 which allowed you to run a Linux distribution (i.e. an operating system) on the PS3, under limitations. You basically had a Cell processor personal computer.

Basically, Hitler was informed that enemy (in this case the good guys) were advancing into a territory he occupied, most probably as his main "base". He then said that its not a problem because one of the generals was ordered to carry out a tactical infantry move that would stop these forces. He was then informed that the general in question failed to perform the move since he didn't have enough troops. Hitler then says the army is a bunch of cowards but that he admits his defeat
