Both Slipknot and AHC are great. But Slipknot has changed their style to heavy and Alternative metal. It's natural though, they've been playing for 10 years and their starting to get old. Just because they have one power ballad in AHIG, doesn't mean they are emo. They're still heavy, just not as powerful. They've definitely stayed true to their music. There is so many bands that just sell themselves out for money and fame, Slipknot is against that (reason why they wear masks).

"matured" in the Nu-Metal genre, but they've still stuck to Nu-Metal. I mean, the SLIPKNOT album compared to AHIG is SO different, but they're both still in the Nu-Metal genre, hence why the Masks have changed to show the progression in their music. Much respect dude!
