There was too many people that were there simply to get there 15 minutes of fame and were wasting my time. Feedback: I just have gone through the first 177 videos in this musicians and band compeition, voting on all of them. I was very excited about this at first, as I like to discover good new bands and experiences etc. Now of the 177 videos I watched most of it was rubbish.
I think the divulgation is bad...cause it s easier to find the adds than the songs wich participate...so...are you trying to divulgue youtube or new musicians?
This dude emailed my band once and said I'll make a music video for free. He spent months making it. Then one day he sent it to us and we were blown away by it. That is how a band that is $6000.00 in debt made a very nice music video. We are called Harris and the song is called Carousel.

kunglek, I hear ya. regardless of what the corporate side gets out of it, its positive for independent artists. It gives independent bands a chance to bee seen and heard by millions. Thats really the bottom line of it all. Its another avenue to reach people. How can that bad? YES, bands need to work hard, but the route of contests shouldn't be ruled out as 'being a sheep' when people are hearing your music that wouldnt have. Come see the CHOKE video.. this contest got you to see it.
