  • We have one at my school, I've played trackmania on it, it was fucking awesome!

  • @MegaLaban12345 where was that - can you send me some pictures?

  • It's not ideal, plus you can see the folds, and obviously it looks dim....People complain about waves in a projector so yeah....Anyhow, just use a high end projector!

  • I play via a projector on a 100" screen and can't even imagine playing on a TV anymore. It's too boxed in. Playing on a huge screen makes you feel like you're in the scene as things come right at you!

  • why would you ever buy this? 30.000 sek for a shitty projector picture quality and standing up for several hours will just not do.

Sure it could be a cool thing from time to time but with that price tag i might as well build my own since from the looks of it its just a metal ridge and that material, dunno what it is called.

  • I played JDome today :D it was a little film crew there, so it will be some sort of commercial :D it was amazing!

  • Can you use it with a 360 or any other gaming media thing, is there a special projector you have to use, how much is the jdome?

  • No extra hardware, just a project which costs 500-1,000$, like no ones has one of those at home, "LOL", and an additional 3.000$ for the Jdome. It's not the price that makes the experience better, but the fact that a gamer might not have the money, ever, to buy it. There are no catches with this fantastic DEAL, but the experience itself, "lol".

  • rofl this thing is 30,000SEK

  • @1337BananaL33TVostok Have you tried it?

  • It's not for everyone. If you can't see it's value then nothing will convince. Not for you.

  • If it is meant to be for the everyday gamer how could it possibly replace a TV, theses jDomes seem to take alot of room and will most likely cost an arm and a leg not to mention the price of the projector, and if im not mistaken you said that a PC is required so not for consoles then.

  • @NathanJuK101 You were so right, then you went to dumb. Get a projector for the console, and you're set, the thing with the software is probably for the UV in the games, not all games lets you change that inside the software, so consoles are dumbdi dumb dumb.

  • One last really important thing. I know everybody is saying "Hey its gotta be $100". I say make a reliable, great quality thing that people can enjoy for years and not some cheap crap. You will gain many more customers with quality than cheap junk. Word of mouth will sell jdomes if they are good. :)

I've seen many a great invention get sidelined because in the end they listened to much to an accountant than their commons sense. Can't wait for Christmas!

  • Militarycrew, thats a good idea. But I still like his idea about it being collapsible and turning into a small almost suit case sized thing. I need it to stay that way for reasons which are obvious to everybody, space. Also its an elegant design. When I was building my crappy dome, they failed but I will say that the lines, even on my piece of uneven crap went away after a couple minutes. You start focusing on everything else. But I will add I hope you can get them as light as possible.

  • Also, I know the ribbed lines are there because of the frame work and for extra strength. you have to find a way to minimize those as much as possible because people will not understand that they disappear after you start playing for a bit. But people are very short in their vision and don't understand that. Again, hopefully you'll be coming to retail soon.

  • @mayamanign The plan is to get a lot of demo units out so people can see for themselves that the lines disappear when you play, but I'm glad that you understand the concept!

  • I tried building a dome with several different materials. It was an abysmal failure. I still have my Optopma GT720 waiting for this thing. Hopefully you'll find investors soon so we can game on it with an acceptable price point. Sucks how cool products don't get any backing, yet Shamwow and other such scams sell in the millions.

  • @mayamanign well are you familiar with those "pelon" (stiff material) disposable dusk masks... they're press-formed, and do not loose their shape... could do something like that, but on a bigger scale, with a support wire around the outer edge only... then it could be carefully folded in half for shipping purposes, as long as its not creased it should pop right back as a dome again... just an idea...

  • @mayamanign To build a foldable dome is not as easy as it may appear at first glance, so I can understand your frustration. I now have some investors and the plan is to finally take the jDome to the consumer market - stay tuned!

  • @jDomeProject

This is fantastic! I have tried over the last few months after speaking with you the first time to build a dome using fabric, acrylic, and finally with an old parachute and acrylic ribs. It was impossible, the image was always distorted and the dome uneven. When do you plan to come out? I would be willing to buy a limited edition if the price is right. Please personal message me. Thanks.

  • Interesting concept... just one thing that would bug me using this, and that would be the visible seams, where the jdome folds (or the spines that give it, its curved shape)... the image brightness / contrast is different at those seams, which to me is very distracting... a smoother surface would be better... just my 2cents.

  • @MilitaryCrew Response copied from a similar comment below: "I hear that comment a lot before people have tried it - after they have tried it, it is rarely an issue anymore - somehow they disappear when you play - there is a video from a Dreamhack exhibition where I talk to a guy about this issue - please watch it."

  • How come SO much more of the environment is shown on the jDome versus a normal screen? Should not the projector show the same stuff on the edges of the screen whether projected onto a flat surface or a rounded surface? Do we need a special version of the game??

  • @dontfuckthisup You don't need a special version of the game. You can change the FOV to see more of the environment on a flat surface, but there is little or no point in doing so as it is actually is the domed screen which immerses you into the game - not how much you see of the game world. But with a jDome I, for one, wants to see more of the game world and therefore I also change the FOV.

  • looks like you have to stand to use it?

  • @GodofChookie It's up to you - in a racing game I sit down - in an FPS I stand up - and when you think about it - I've never seen a soldier sitting down fighting a war - or any action hearo for that matter. By standing up you feel more active in the game and with things like Kinect and Move it'll feel natural to stand up - but as I said - the jDome is adjustable for sitting and standing up - so it is up to you.

  • As he says something along the lines of "we can't produce it at an affordable price yet" it's not an issue for the gaming community. You want people to buy? Offer an affordable price... Also, you can see that the paper tears easily as the one in the background (shown during the interview toward the end) already has clearly visible damage to it.. I personally would rather go for the Frex canopy - that's expensive, too, but at least it's not made of paper.

  • @hartigdom I'm working on the affordable price and the plan is to have a consumer product out by Christmas 2011 - as for the tears - the movie shows a prototype screen (I had no other at the time) which had been used on numerous exhibitions and wasn't designed to be folded - I actually cut the tears myself as I couldn't fold it the first time I had completed the prototype!!! The new screen is attached in another way and doesn't have this problem at all.

  • i hope you do get good investors for this, it is a fantastic product and will make you very rich

  • @grame141 Thank you and I hope, as a by-product I'll get a lot of money to be able to make improvements on the jDome and new exciting immersive products!

  • The jDome looks great for racing games, I'm a bit skeptical about FPS games though.

  • @xGunster I personally like the FPS and jDome best - however a jDome and a D-Box chair is a match made in heaven for racing games - and probably flight games as well (once I had the chance/time to try it!)

  • i dont really like it because those lines on it really bugs the shit outa me if i was playing it would be better if it was a curved screen then just a projector. then it would be waaaaaay better

  • @XxXSavier I hear that comment a lot before people have tried it - after they have tried it, it is rarely an issue anymore - somehow they disappear when you play - there is a video from a Dreamhack exhibition where I talk to a guy about this issue - please watch it.

  • full immersion or partial, like this one, are _much_ better that '3d-stereo' , far better. 3d is just useless unless it's added to an already _immersive_ design. like this one. I want to be INSIDE the game, not seeing it through a hole, and with the 3d-stereo glasses it really looks like you watch thru a hole. bad. immersion is the key.

  • @mrnitro30103 I couldn't have said it better myself...

  • But the FOV is wrong on the normal monitor.. Then you switch to the jdome and it is still wrong and now bigger. You need to calculate the correct FOV to be accurate is to be immersive.

  • @ZE0SPantera Somehow it works good enough - any incorrect image is in you peripheral and there it doesn't bother you and just sucks you into the game.

  • omfg your english is sooo badXD ^^

  • @lenflancer Hey, what can I say - I'm working on it! :-)

  • Also from this video i could not see if the limited edition is adjustable for height and pitch.

  • @mayamanign It is - search for "jDome Gamex 2010" and watch the two jDomes there - they are exactly the same product - just adjusted for different games

  • John, I've watched most of your videos and love the product. One thing I'm noticing though is most of these seem to take place in Europe. When are you going to come to the center of the world, New York? Lots of investors here, lots of open minds, us Americans LOVE the entrepreneurial spirit and good products. Come visit new York and showcase the jdome.

  • @mayamanign Thank You! I'll be at E3 this year and also in a world tour which shows of Swedish innovations, which starts in Silicone Valley and then goes to Washington DC - I also hope to attend ComiCon, which is in New York - right?

  • ZOMG!

  • As much as I like it, I feel the folds in the material just stop this from being a perfectly carried out idea...It just makes it feel like its not real, where surely the idea is to try and enhance the game play and make it feel even more realistic ?

  • @02uksam

Maybe if it was elastic, it would stretch seamlessly.

    Just a thought.

  • I have a question, how about the impact on the eyes, because how we all know, looking into a projector beam is not really easy on the eyes, here we have this screen between us and the projector but how much does it filter the light from the projector?

  • The resolution on this thing sucks its seems like its about 800x600 res and that's below even SD nowhere near HD.

Monitors kill this in Gaming Because HD Monitors have EXTREME Resolutions Beyond 1080P HD called 1200P 1920x1200

And that the way its meant to be played on an HD Monitor Not this Dome Material crap

  • @DEFECTX9 If you think gaming is about resolution, it is of course up to you - I play games to get an immersive feeling - to be inside my regular games - then resolution doesn't matter as much and at this time, the jDome is the only affordable option out there to achieve this.

  • Okay... I WANT IT... I hope release isn't too far away for us regular gamers.

  • @kidasmurf I hope you still stay posted - the plan is to get a consumer version out by Christmas 2011!

  • I could picture this in conjunction with the 3-D Nvidia glasses. That would be off the chain! A few bits of advice:

#1 You don't need the dome to extend that far down. It screws up the ergonomics.

#2 You need an engineer to assist you. the prototypes are over-engineered and use too much hardware (yeah, I know these are expo models)

#3 You don't need customers, you need investors. You can get these down to $100 each with a solid business model. Best of luck!

  • Thank you for your comment GoSlash27!

I'm working on all of the above.

#1 it is hard to change this to comply with #2 (except for the stand), as it will screw up foldability, as for #3, I'm working on it - believe me!

  • @jDomeProject It's the stand I'm talking about. That thing is built like an engine hoist. Too many nuts, bolts, casters, pneumatic pistons, etc. etc. You got this far by thinking outside the box, so go back outside. Find a way to make a dome without all the hardware. 2 thoughts come to mind right away: geodesic domes and pup-tents. Best of luck!

  • o-m-g, that dude is such a geek

  • Actually I was awarded Geek of the Year here in Sweden. And I'm proud of it!

  • @jDomeProject

jag vet, jag röstade på dig, grattis!

  • cool...

but im about to fuck that dudes face up with my fist. his face is just....punchable. and his voice...sounds like ass music.

  • I'm glad you like the idea. Can't do anything about my face though - it is what it is. Seriously, if you feel like you want to punch peoples faces in just by looking at them, you should contact somebody who can treat you. If we met and you hit me I might be reluctant to sell you a jDome, and we don't want that now do we?

  • I think combined with 3D tech, this would be an unbelievable gaming experience. I think whereas Nintendo, with the Wii, will tend towards full virtual reality immersion, this is the step forward for Xbox/PS3.

  • i think its a good idea.. i really like how u r in the game and all, itll be great for rpg and shooting games, but a couple of things... 1. i dont really like the lines in the back that much.. its not too bad but stil something to work on.. 2. how about sports games? how does that work exactly?

  • get... me... one...

  • so all i need to do now is get my projector, connect my computer up to it. Play a game by shining the image on a bedsheet and stand behind it so theres no shadow... haha seems like a easy idea, i can do this at home orrrr put the image on a large wall and make my screen size huge. With an Xbox 360, or my ps3, with a surround sound.

    Beat that jDome!!

  • In order to get the same level of immersion as the jDome on a flat wall, it needs to be 8 meters wide and this requires you to also have several projectors to get the same resolution.

  • I think it looks bulky, although even looking at it from the perspective of my computer screen, it does feel like I'm being pulled into the game.

  • I don't see why anyone likes this =/

Just looks like Fish eye mode on a dome shape screen, And them lines in the screen would piss me off trying to play a game.

Sorry but this is a dumb idea.

  • That's because you have not tested it - and it is hard for me, both verbally, and apperantly, visually, to convince you of your misconceptions.

I ask you to listen to what people in the video who have tested it, say.

  • I agree with zzk2001, those lines bug the shit outta me and i don't wanna stand in a bubble to play a "3D" game. Especially when I could get a few more monitors and a 3D nvidia or amd card for much cheaper. or even get one of those 3d tvs.

  • I can only tell you that the lines are hardly visible for the player. I'm a gamer myself and I wouldn't accept this as a solution if it weren't so. Don't confuse the jDome with 3D monitors - 3D adds depth to the image, but not the feeling of being in the game, as the jDome makes you feel you are. However, you can have 3D in the jDome as well.

You can configure the jDome to sit down, but I recommend standing as it it makes you feel like you are more active and "there" while playing.

  • 3000 § Dollar

  • the cave look better

  • I'm sure it does, however - it needs a special room, 4-5 projectors and special software. Even with the current price of a jDome, a jDome-system is a bargain compared to a cave-system.

  • That asian girl is cute.

  • Looks fantastic, and I actually got goosebumps looking at it. Only issue I can see is cost, as it requires a projector, and they aren't exactly cheap :(

  • @Dingolicious idiot this cost more than a projector xD

  • @GameRelatedStuff My point was this is probably out of the budget of most gamers, unfortunately, due to the fact that you need a projector AND this.

    Projector + jDome = Expensive

    Idiot.

  • That looks amazing could be the future of gaming maybe ? but i would like to see if that works with a PC ?

  • It is a PC you are looking at - only in a PC you can change the Field of View parameter, so yo see more of the game world, at this time.

  • Its real cool an all but just think, would you buy one. its so big like all these things and imagine when somone comes round for drinks or somthing.

    "hey man whats that?"

"its just my jdome, use it for playing cod. you like it."

    "you gay ass vagina monkey!"

thats pretty much what would happen.

  • I'd like to see someone hook a wii up to this.

  • Actually, come to think of it, i'd rather see someone hook project natal up to this. That would basically be a holodeck :D

  • Does the video become stretched/skewed further away from the center of the screen? If so, couldn't this possibly effect the controls?

  • i think it would be normal because you, the player is always focused in the middle of the screen where the screen is almost normal, and if you were to shoot something the view would change as you turn to shoot so that would be centered as well

  • jDomeProject - I wish to add my thoughts if i may.

A totally immersive gaming experience is what many gamers like myself have been after for many years (yes Nvidia offers 3-D I know). I dont think i have been so excited about a new advancement in gaming tech for many years.... I wish you well, I hope you have every success and most importantly i will definately buy one in the future once this JDome is mass produced =0)

    Peace out!!

  • Looks awsome, can see how on FPS and Driving games it can be extremely useful. Fingers crossed for you!

  • lol they sell this j dome for 2500 EU, I can build a dome with improvements for less than 50 EU :P

  • I don't think you can - especially not with improvments, but if you do (and I mean coming back with a working foldable sample) - contact me and we will talk business ;-)

I might get down to that production cost eventually, but that needs tools for massproduction which in turn costs about 50 000€ or more.

  • This looks really promising! I myself am also a gamer to the bone. But lately i find myself getting bored was faster thai I used to. I don't remember any games I actually finished lately. And this is just because the effects aren't believable enough for me anymore. But this dome might just make the difference I need to enjoy games again to the fullest. Good luck with it's development!

  • Same Effect you have with the widescreenfixer. So the FOV improvment isnt somthing new ;)

  • No one said it is. It is just that when you have this large screen it makes sense to use a larger FoV. (Unless you have a widescreen or cheating in deathmatches, that is ;-)

  • Also, when you talk effect I hope you don't mean that the immersive effect on a flat screen is the same as on jDome, just because you have changed the FoV?

  • Just tried it today and got a chance to speak with John today, he is at I38! This thing is amazing, it really gets your immersed in the game, coupled with a surround sound system I think this could be better than 3D gaming!

And he is a really great guy to talk to, you deserve to go far :)

  • Thanx, man - nice to meet you as well! See you at i39!

  • HAHAHA just watched the jDome Dragons Den pitch - lmao, epic fail! I don't even speak the lingo but you can tell at 8.30 there are serious questions about the patent which is why they all binned you John. Are you ready to STOP your bullshit bragging about this being 'your' invention now and admit there is a lot of prior art, and all you have is a shitty folding mechnism that creates huge ribbed obstructions in the users view??

  • Hello simtechlover!

Watching a Dragon's Den clip for 12 minutes in a "lingo" you don't know is a bit impressive, especially if you don't like the product.

If you had known the lingo, you would have heard me say that there is a lot of prior art and that is why it is hard to patent.

I never said domed screens are my invention - but foldable ones are!

Anyway I have an investor and a couple of patents pending.

I know it is hard to believe but the ribs are hardly visible when you play.

  • "Prior art" is precisely the lingo I understood - the fact your screen is 'foldable' is hardly a major selling point!

  • I think it is - I cannot even have my movieroom permanent, I have to move a sofa back and forth - and half a Deathstar is out of the question - I'm married!

What would, in your opinion, be a major selling point?

  • Splitscreen? how does it look?

  • there is no splitscreen! it's for pc

you need a mod or a console to change the field of view in the game for this to work.

  • Split screen could theoretically work - with two jDomes!

This provided you could split the game veritcally and it could use Full HD.

This would render a resolution of 960x1080 per jDome.

However, zmegis is correct in the fact that you cannot change the FOV in console games. Although this doesn't impare the immersive feeling, it is a bit boring to not be able to see more of the game world, as the jDome provides you with surround view.

  • This is awesome would love one of these

  • they need a Jdome 3D, that would be absolutely awesome, although IDK how possible that would be.

  • Please subscribe to this channel and maybe we'll put up a video about such a technology.

  • 1:15 -->

    /cg_fov 130

  • Actually it is 125, however, 130 might give a more correct comparison.

  • Mal de tête fournis avec ?

  • A lot of people have tried the jDome and I have never heard of any headache complaints.

What I would be more worried about is motion sickness, and thats why I've played for serveral hours straight, and my conclusion is if your'e not prone to motion sickness, you wont be in the jDome.

  • Maintenant chez EA ils prévoient un truc pour envoyer des joueurs en irak pour vraiment être à fond dans le scénario

  • If you have not done so yet, search frex GP canopy on youtube and check out the comments on there.

Also can you please tell me if you don't mind, as I only understand english, can you tell me briefly what happened to your sales pitch on the Swedish version of dragons den?

Can you also tell me if you don't mind, how much money do you need to get this product mass produced? If you don't want to say on here can you send me a private message, I will treat it as strictly confidential???

  • I've checked them out and it is a solid solution, and it seems best suited for driving games.

The jDome is much more versitile as it is for First Person Shooters, Racing Sims and possible Flight Sims as well - and stowable!

The sales pitch went very well and three of them were interested, but bailed out because I didn't have a patent and the competition would kill me.

The show was recorded Nov 08 - I now have another investor, no competitor and three patents pending!

  • jDomeProject

Many thanks for your replies, You would be surprised I know many gamers that would want to own a one piece fixed dome. People put these kind of things in a spare room or their garage. I know I would. If you look at the demand for these domes on racesimcentral forums and pretty much all sim forums then you will see it's very high, people want full immersion. FrexGP in Japan selling a one piece fixed canopy screen on a smaller scale than the jDome but it's amazing but expensive.

  • even though the mold had cracked, you should still pursue it, getting a manufacturer to make you a mold prototype shouldn't cost too much, doing it yourself is too difficult and will most probably crack if your not experienced in this field. I know with mass manufacturing a factory can definitely make a one piece jDome very affordable. Please pursue this avenue as it would make the whole project more immersive, even delay this product to market just so you can have two version of the jDome.

  • You missunderstand - that one piece jDome was not solid - I just tried to make a foldable screen in one piece without seams, but that test failed, so I went for slices instead, which proved the concept.

The new screen however, will be seamless (but there still will be supports, hopefully fewer though)

A solid jDome will come much later, as I said before - there are vanishing few who can have a jDome put up permanently - not even I could or would want a jDome in my living room all the time.

  • continued from last reply...so stereoscopic 3d should allow the image from the jDome have so much depth and the dome would look so much bigger that even if you were to look around the whole dome with your eyes and even use your peripheral vision, I don't think it would take the immersion away, I think the experience will add to the immersion and allow you to not always have to look forward. It would be amazing.

Also a while back you were making a one piece mold for the jDome but it had cracked

  • 3D would definitly enhance the immersive effect - when I have a test I will post a video about it!

  • jDomeProject

What does the J in jDome stand for?

What is your first name? Would be good to know so we can all address you better than calling you

    jDomeProject.

If I wanted to watch a movie on the jDome and sit further back from the dome could I then use a projector to beam onto the dome from the front, so basically front projection, is this possible?

Can you please do some testing with the nvidia 3d vision glasses, as I think the jDome in 3D may remove the distortion from the sides and

  • "j" in jDome stands for John, but actually it is a flipped "i" as I wanted it to be iDome for immersiveDome, but iDome was taken, so it became jDome.

You have to have your head inside the jDome, or you will remove the immersive effect. Hence, you cannot sit further away.

3D-glasses will not remove any distortion, but as I have stated earlier the distortion on the sides don't bother you as the part which is your normal screen is correct.

  • I would like to see how Entropia Universe would look running on your product. : )

  • Well, can you change the Field of View in Entropia Universe? :-)

  • I think it can be. EU just converted to the Cry Engine. With the improved graphics I would love to play it with a display like you show! : )

  • Hi jDomeProject

To continue from my last reply, I also want to say what you are doing is really incredible for the gaming community and I wish you lot's of luck and really hope this invention of yours takes off and you make it big. You created a great idea and brough it to reality so Good luck!!!

  • Well, thank you Cobalt961!

It is people like you who inspire me to make this a product a reality and I wish you could try out the jDome soon somewhere near you.

  • Hi jDomeProject

Many thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Really it is very much appreciated! I know you are very busy but if at some point when you are free can you answer some of my other questions that I have posted on your other videos please?

Also can you tell me, in the final version of the jDome will we still see those metal frames through the projection screen going horizontally across the picture? or will you use some kind of fabric to hide this behind the dome?

    thanks

  • They are not metal and they are barely visible when you play (but when we film from behind they are annoyingly visible).

Still, I hope to make them more or less completly invisible of fewer in number.

  • To add to my last reply, is it possible to use more than 1 projector to get rid of distortion and blur to the sides of the screen, this way your peripheral vision view would be blur/distortion free???

  • firstly how much is this limited edition version you talk of in the video?

secondly I thought you had mentioned a long time ago that you were going to offer 2 versions of the j-dome, one would be the fold-able screen and the other a fixed one piece screen which could not be portable due to the fixed size, can you please clarify on this?

The reason you get distortion on the sides is because you are using 1 projector and the screen is fold-able which means the sides ripple a bit.

  • Hi Cobalt961!

You have many questions an I'll try to answer them.

You will not "look around" because you find that you break the immersion if you do. In an FPS you automagically play as you normally do, as the jDome is an extension of your normal screen.

You can have 2 projectors to highten resolution.

The blurriness/distortion don't bother you as it is in your peripheral view.

The sides won't ripple in the ones sold - this is a prototype.

Any solid version is much later.

  • this would be sick wit a really good sound system

  • I would so love one of these, but what price are you estimating for it to be at?

  • its a bedsheet over an exercise ball with a projector at the back, yeah, its interesting, but they say the price tag is too high, lolwut, much rather have a nice tv. what good is being immersed, if u have shit video quality

  • Yeah, it's a simple idea - that´s what is good about it, and makes it possible for you and I to actually afford one, when it hits mass production.

What can't be seen in the video (you actually have to try it) is that any distorted part of the image is in your peripheral view and don't bother you but give you a very immersive effect in return.

Do you really think the people in the video would be that excited about "sh-t video quality"?

  • krass :-O

    will haben xD

  • Please take the Quick Market Survey on the first page (scroll down) and leave your e-mail-adress at the end of it and I'll notify you when you can buy one!

  • works almost as good as that white sheet on ure bed to

  • First you have to check that the sheet don't show the lightsource, then you have to cut the sheet in bathing ball slices (I would recommend 12). Then you have to sew them together and make the stitches seamless. Then find a way to uphold the dome with some support which is invisible.

If you do that - you are all set to go! :-)

  • STAR FOX 64 WITH THIS THING!!! Man that would be AWESOME!

  • :-o :-o nice

  • WTF? :-O

  • this can be like your personal imax

  • Why did a Swedish inventor call it the 'jDome' when he can't pronounce the letter J?

  • i'll like it more when there's a fix for the fisheye distortion, but this is a great start!

  • buying this product and Company of Heroes:

    I AM YOUR GOD

  • So when will they make virtual game pods?

  • fucking inmersive, is just awesome.... but pointless until is produced for the people (less money)

  • get a wii ffs

  • looks like an imax theater for games, very nice

  • the only problem i can see with it is that you cant sit down.

who wants to stand for an hour while you play cod?

  • EXACTLY !!!

  • have you ever been to an all day concert? did you sit down? Are you one of those people who think they're too hard core to play the Wii, but really use that as an excuse to hoard all your precious calories in your ass? Are you a fat lazy fuck? probably yes.

  • unfortunately for you - I'm not a "fat lazy fuck"

in fact a go for a run every day

BUT i still dont want to stand for hours when i could be sitting playing games.

  • Don't run every day, it's not good for your knees.

And why the hell shouldn't you be able to sit down? :D Just lower the dome and place it in front of a chair.

  • ingenious! i didnt know that you could lower it, i thought it was at a set level because it appears at approx the same height each time i saw it.

and i shall stop running daily. maybe weekly instead

  • it looks fun but expensive

  • This will be awesome when project natal comes out.

  • it would be better if you had an object that resembles a gun.

  • Let's see what the future has to offer... ;-)

  • Wouldn't it be uncomfortable to stand there for hours on end?

  • You can of course sit down, but it feels quite natural to stand up.

In the early stages I once played four hours straight (to check for motion sickness) and had no problem with standing.

  • I bet the guy who's talking is Swedish! I can hear it in his accent.

  • No way!!! ;-)

  • When I look at it I say the problem might be the first set up, adjusting the projector and stuff until it is perfect.

  • When and where can I buy this?

  • Does it work on gaming consoles. I'm not sure if you can change the FOV on xbox and Playstation. The product looks awesome but is it onl y PC compatible?

  • I'm sure it should easily work the same actually with nothing being different.
