gah, when I'm "carving the outside of the lightsaber" it doesn't show up white like yours, it's just outlined. What am I doing wrong?

This happened to me, But when you select the pen tool, at the top of the screen, there is a row of 3 boxes that select which mode the pen tool is in. I had to switch from "Paths," to "Shape Layer."

If you want to make a saber colour like purple, orange or white (for the outer glow of a black saber), do you have to use two colours on the colour balance (if so, what two colours make white)?
