the 3DS can run WPA. You just have to go into the system settings, not the game wifi settings. i was having the same problem, that's why I got the 3ds. only problem is your pal pad and records will be reset

Usually you can switch routers from WPA to WEP. Honestly I've done it before but can't remember the specifics. You should be able to google it and plug into the router directly to switch over.

Most flash carts run in DS mode on the 3DS/DSi, not DSi "enhanced" mode. This means you lose the main attraction for DSi mode for games that support it, WPA access. A few off the top of my head that SHOULD work are Acekard 2i, CycloDS DSi and Supercard DSTWO. If you have one of those, then B/W (and ONLY B/W) should support WPA.

Okay, I double checked after this. Acekard 2i DOES NOT support DSi mode. The other two, however, still stand. If you have one of those two (possibly plus some I couldn't find), a DSi/3DS, and a DSi enhanced ROM (in this case, B/W), then just set up WPA through the DSi/3DS internal menu, and you'll be good.

If you type 192.168.1.1 then insert the user name and password (if it is a linksys router and you have not changed anything yet it is no username and password is admin) then you should be able to change the security type on your router. May also be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0. Hopefully it helps.

Call up your ISP provider and ask them to guide you through the switching process. You can do this yourself if you know the IP address username and password. Make sure you ADD A PASSWORD though.

I already had that problem with the WPA/WEP thing, I just decided to turn it back to WEP but I'm not sure if that will really work for you since your neighbor may sell some stuff to some hackers lol. But seriously, I think the only thing you can do is to turn it back to WEP.
