  • oh yeah bridge level, thumbs up if u remember the fat bastard boss!

  • the very first minute I revisited this track... damn motherfuckin Samuel L. Jackson came into my mind... in his Shaft outift...

  • I think that Keep the Grooving was the most popular track of all SOR editions, i said that cause is the track that have more vertions and arranges...and was the most performed by Yuzo in the concerts that he did , even in SOR remake is the song more present in different stages, with differents arranges :P

  • These melody kept indelebly printed in my head throughout my childhood. Thanks Kozhi.

  • Brings back memories.

  • >:( this was recorded in an emulator, the percussion is corrupted >:(

  • @GGigabiteM

actualy its from an official soundtrack that Yuzo Koshiro released

  • police car special move....lol

  • Man... 0:36 is so...Streets of Rage xD...Man this is the only "beat them up" game that will never leave my heart. I mean, the others are so funky and rock and fast...Streets of Rage is so smooth, jazzy, elegant, gorgeous and memorable, especially SOR2. The 3rd one is more bad-ass, and is cool, but i prefer the elegancy and epicness of 1 and 2. Yuzo Koshiro ftw...along with Sonic and Shinibi :O

  • @TheKrustaceox Yeah. The music he wrote fits so good with the game and the stages and... it's just.... you can't think of the game itself forgetting the music.... it's like a whole package, EVEN THOUGH music was probably added later on. He definitely caught the feeling of the game and musicalised it. Amazing... cuz I never felt like this playing any other game.

  • @TheKrustaceox It's 1991! the greatest year ever! That's why. haha

  • I think SoR is the best side scroller beat'em up ever made (As a series whole) Final Fight wasn't fun to me, and all the other stuff just made me wanna go back to this. Shinobi on the other hand is much different, because it has alot of plat forming involved. Also, I may as well add that River City Ransom is probably the only game SoR doesn't beat (and all incarnations of it, A.K.A Scott Pilgrim)

  • @TranceCore3 Well...after you said that...i went for River city ransom rom, emulated it and beated it in like 1 hour. It's a good game and has a good story. But it gets boring and annoying often in some parts. Not to tell the music is annoying even for the NES and the game got major silly bugs. In my opinion, this game is definetely no match for Streets of Rage. But thats only my opinion.

  • I love the music in RCR. I hum it all the time. RCR is a very basic beat'em up, but I still oved it nonetless. Being able to buy skills and and actually work on stats is another story on its own (it's not necessarily required to do that stuff, but you may as well since that's what the money is for.) They are two really great games. One focuses alot more on the gameplay and storyline factor, while another was just trying somthing new.

  • @TranceCore3 final fight was ok, but nothing comapred to SOR

  • love 0:36, i remember this game came out when i was about 7! lol legendary game

  • Man, you're right !

  • You know This song could seriously be even more awesome with lyrics. Actually the first part of the song around 0:24 seconds almost sounds like:

Keep the groovin'! Keep it groovin' and then at 0:27 it sounds like : Groove on!

Perhaps if I listen to it enough I can construct some Lyrics to go with it. I'm not saying the music tracks sucks or anything but I feel like doing a remix with lyrics for some reason.

  • @glitchhunter09

    go for it

  • @glitchhunter09 That is the meri of these music, even without lyrics is very enjoyable and of big quality. Couldn't beg more, in the age wich this title see the light none game had music with lyrics, the technogy did't support that, wasn't so advanced, and the videogames and consoles even were something new and doesn't had discovered it great comercial potential. Was lot years after when the chips technology improoved and the videogames industry became so important as music industry when occur
