Looks like a baby compared to the old Farnell, H30-100 I have in my workshop, well two of them actually !! 0-30 VDC at upto 100 Amps. Even with a switch pre-reg the transformer in them wouldn't fit inside the case you made for your home brew !! Oh, and they weigh in at 85 KG each, or 187 pounds in pilgrim money !
Any of you guys over there should look out for old school Kepco stuff on ebay, can be had cheap and it's absolutely top grade stuff.
wow, four of these and i could power my car audio in my room without having to stay charging my battery after 30 seconds of use everytime. I would really like to make one but I have no idea about most of the things i have just seen in this vid let alone the extra mile i have to go to make it fit for my needs :/
@320005397 i never put the sound in my car. i had made a big mistake of buying the amps and speakers before i knew what it involved to fit inside a vehicle. so now my amps, speakers and subs are laying around in my room. just the subwoofer alone takes 3k watts
for being nerds you picked really good music

..So a 200,000 mFd capacitor = 200 Fd, right?
Or are you meaning micro or mega Farad?
emilen2 2 weeks ago
@emilen2 Microfarads, so 0.2 farads. The higher the better, a car audio cap would work really well.

timetime124 4 months ago
@timetime124 13.8 volts @ 100 amps is 1380 watts. there is a standardized conversion standard. 13.8 volts @ 1150 amps is 15,870 watts.

This thing is great! I'm starting to gather some information so I can build a 100amp power supply to power my shack and my ameritron ALS-500

Are you willing to share schematics, parts list, etc? I know an electricity teacher that would love to make this into a project for his students.
Killer music, dude. :)
