  • for being nerds you picked really good music

  • ..So a 200,000 mFd capacitor = 200 Fd, right?

Or are you meaning micro or mega Farad?

  • @emilen2 Microfarads, so 0.2 farads. The higher the better, a car audio cap would work really well.

  • can you share the circuit?

  • how much does it cost to build this power supply &

  • i guess it would run my ft-817 quite nicely :)

    very nice job.

  • where did you get the design for the regulator board?

  • WELL DONE...

  • Put the fire in that wire.

  • Do you have a schematic for your build?

  • is amp more then wats

i saw one for 1150 amps

what does this ===== as wats ??

  • @timetime124 13.8 volts @ 100 amps is 1380 watts. there is a standardized conversion standard. 13.8 volts @ 1150 amps is 15,870 watts.

  • what is the part number for that transformer?

  • Looks like a baby compared to the old Farnell, H30-100 I have in my workshop, well two of them actually !! 0-30 VDC at upto 100 Amps. Even with a switch pre-reg the transformer in them wouldn't fit inside the case you made for your home brew !! Oh, and they weigh in at 85 KG each, or 187 pounds in pilgrim money !

Any of you guys over there should look out for old school Kepco stuff on ebay, can be had cheap and it's absolutely top grade stuff.

Nice job you did there though.

  • very nice project !!!

i would like to make a sameler one for some testing to.

the voltage drop is very low thats really nice

do you have a list of parts whats you have used

so i can make one for my own

    thank you

  • Cool vid and sound track very nicely done...

  • what did you use for the resistive wire for load testing?

  • This thing is great! I'm starting to gather some information so I can build a 100amp power supply to power my shack and my ameritron ALS-500

  • Nice work, how's it holding up?

  • that is one enormous transformer in that thing

  • COOL! what a strange trnsformer Oo

  • wow, four of these and i could power my car audio in my room without having to stay charging my battery after 30 seconds of use everytime. I would really like to make one but I have no idea about most of the things i have just seen in this vid let alone the extra mile i have to go to make it fit for my needs :/

  • @gaspower70 so you have like about 4.5 kW of hifi in your car? WTF!?

  • @320005397 i never put the sound in my car. i had made a big mistake of buying the amps and speakers before i knew what it involved to fit inside a vehicle. so now my amps, speakers and subs are laying around in my room. just the subwoofer alone takes 3k watts

  • well done!! ! I´m planning to build this monster :)

  • how many euro does you spend to make this???

  • try weld with it

  • Are you willing to share schematics, parts list, etc? I know an electricity teacher that would love to make this into a project for his students.

    Killer music, dude. :)
