Great looking and Great running layout ( most people mention the speed , 50 mph track speed looks fast from the ground- there is nothing better than keeping the velocity high and revenue at peak - just keep the track up ,the equipment maintained and roll'em) ; keep up the good work.
@originalgrump100 Slot car speed? I had slot cars. This isn't anyhere close to them. The speeds really aren't that unreasonable for a Class 4 main line where freights can go 60 and passengers 80. As for the curves, virtually no model railroad has prototypical curves; it would be impossible to have continuous running in any space smaller than a department store. These 30"+ radius curves are pretty broad for an HO-scale layout, especially a portable one.
Thanks. When not displayed at a show, the layout is kept set up and fully operataional in Rainier, Oregon. The layout is a portable sectional layout, but is not technically modular; it is designed to go together only one way and you can't rearrange or add/subtract sections.

Gee - for a model railroad club, you run your trains awfully fast (even if this is for public display). Otherwise, great layout.

The camera seems to make the trains run faster than they really are.
The layout runs very well as we have standards that ALL equipment must meet or it isn't allowed on the layout.
Trackwork is top drawer too.

Nice layout and trains. Does it have a regular home? Modular I suspect.
