Yes indeed! This is actually the final arioso from a long lamento that is predominantly a recitative. I wish I could make it all fit on a single video on YouTube... It would be interesting to observe how Mary Madeleine's heartbreaking lament develops and how the cantata culminates with this stunning arioso where the singer steps "out of role" and takes the role of an observer of Madeleine lamenting at the cross.
