I've listened to the entire album a few times through now (I know, I couldn't wait, but I'll still be buying it in June) and it's definitely not like anything else he's done. It's very personal and, actually, the first thing I thought when I heard 'If I Was Your Vampire' was that it was incredibly sad. You can really feel the emotion behind it and that's something that carries on through the whole album. It really portrays Manson as a person rather than an idol or symbol.

Oh, it's very typical indeed. It's even so typical that it's actually a bit like what he has done before with the video for "(s)AINT". Manson is not exactly that shocking any more nowadays. Well, in Europe he isn't. Sure, his video will probably once more get banned, and it will cause a nice share of media coverage. But is it very original and new when compared to what he has done before (video wise)? I think I'd definitely have to say no.
I'm only willing to pay for his stuff as long as it's good enough. Ever since the first album the focus has also always been on the content and the lyrics and I guess he doesn't have a lot left to say about the world and society any more. That shouldn't be an excuse for releasing crappy videos like this though.
I'm not really sure if I'm going to dig the new album. I've been a fan of Manson for years, but it now seems that he has lost track a bit. It seems to me that there is no essential message left for Manson to deliver to the world. I'm afraid that all of the new material will be about his divorce and his new 19-year-old girlfriend. I'm not saying Manson should grow up, because he is who he is, BUT he could at least have tried to find something more interesting to say.

This really isn't that good when compared to his past music videos. And in my opinion, this song sucks compared to his past efforts. Old school Manson was so good, and this.. blech
And I'm sorry, but this churned my stomach. Seeing a 38 year old man (who looks alot older, probably due to all the booze and drugs and partying) make out with a 19 year old girl is just gross, no matter who it is.

I find it pretty typical of him. He's eating her face and drowning in 'tomato juice'. It's not pretty, but I respect him as a person. Oh, it's very typical indeed. It's even so typical that it's actually a bit like what he has done before with the video for "(s)AINT". Manson is not exactly that shocking any more nowadays. Well, in Europe he isn't. Sure, his video will probably once more get banned, and it will cause a nice share of media coverage. But is it very original and new when compared to what he has done before (video wise)? I think I'd definitely have to say no.

I'm only willing to pay for his stuff as long as it's good enough. Ever since the first album the focus has also always been on the content and the lyrics and I guess he doesn't have a lot left to say about the world and society any more. That shouldn't be an excuse for releasing crappy videos like this though.

I'm not really sure if I'm going to dig the new album. I've been a fan of Manson for years, but it now seems that he has lost track a bit. It seems to me that there is no essential message left for Manson to deliver to the world. I'm afraid that all of the new material will be about his divorce and his new 19-year-old girlfriend. I'm not saying Manson should grow up, because he is who he is, BUT he could at least have tried to find something more interesting to say.

I totally agree,he's got nothing left to say and I personnally dislike the song + its lyrics.I am so disapointed,he used to do so much better...and I really dun envy ERW ,playing such a scene with him knowing he is also my boyfriend in real life would give me nightmares for life,haha sorry girls,I really like him as an artist but let's face it he isn't sexy :) I really dunno wether I'm gonna buy his new album :(

Ive been a HUGE fan of manson since i was 14, first concert I went to. Have all his albums. love his work.
But he's lost the fucking plot.
Broke up with dita, all drugged up, going out with a NINETEEN year old...thats just not on, and then exploiting her like that , it's yuk. And Im all up for his antichrist era and everything else he has done.
But this... PLUS the music is TERRIBLE

OK, I don't have an opinion of MM or his music, to each his own. The only reason I even looked at the clip was because it's being so talked about in the press and i'm nosy, lol. All I have to say is that it reminds me of the Michael Jackson video with Elvis's daughter to get press and "Show their love". It made them look really desperate for attention, but it worked......nuff said.

I really liked this song, before I was informed that it had anything to do with Rachel Wood. This defently knocks a lot of the power out of it, I like his music but Im not very interested in his personal life. And this whole Rachel Wood thing is just kinda sad, its so obvious that they cant have anything in common.
