sounds like torque twist. I really don't have any torque twist since I run droop. If you're running a sprung suspension, you can end up with much more torque twist.
All I can say is that with both the 8 cell and 9 cell 2/3A packs I have, the Puller motor has plenty of punch and power. I am running the Mamba Max with it too, so that may be a bit of it.
The Max handles more amps. From what JRH says, the Sidewinder is fine for the Pullers and you really shouldn't see a big difference between the 2...but I do (have tried both with this setup) Not sure if it's just the amperage making the difference or not.
how are those tires?

The tires work great. With so many tires out now...some people have to have the "newest thing"...but these tires still perform well.

What's the cont. discharge on those batteries? I'm thinking about the puller but with lipo and i know JRH recommends a 40amp for 11.1v.

Ya know, I am not real sure. CheapBatteryPacks shows tests with them using 20 amps...but I don't know if that's constant or burst.
