The Commodore 64 version, despite being even worse a game than the Speccy/Amstrad versions, has a better (yet still shit) ending in which your gf has rescued herself!

¿renegade 3? I image and alternative plot behind that game: after a few days of not coming up with the story behind the third game programers and producers decide to make renegade travel in time.

A joke, this game's a total joke for my wallet... and you ain't see me laughing ¿are you?

I imagine the story behind the 4th game where the gamer comunity joins forces to hunt the team involved on the third game... i have to add that this game is rated 18 because it has fatalities.

Why dinosaurs and cavemen?

It's probably a weird form of censorship, i had Carmageddon on the N64 and all of the pedestrians were replaced with dinosaurs. Why dinosaurs??? why not zombies?

@spiderjerusalem100 Not quite, it's a "time travelling" game (yes... really!! *sigh*) so the first level is the Prehistorik Zone - hence dinosaurs etc. It's a stupid idea, a VERY STUPID idea.

Is it just me or did the creators know this game was terrible. They call it the final chapter and then say all that stuff at the game completion screen. Suggesting they thought this would be best forgotten.

Wikipedia claims that Captain Caveman is an enemy in this which intrigued me; these are no CCs! And why the hell have the dinosaurs boxing gloves?! Rubbish.

@Xyphoe well to be honest, the most important thing for me to play a game is its atmosphere and plot: Time travel is one of my favourite themes, so this is why I loved this game!Besides that I really love the hero's haircut! hehe!

Renegade III was a clusterfuck, they've ruined the continuinity of sequels as well. the third game should be the World Tour, you don't go through time until at least the fifth game when you've run out of all other ideas.

Well, definately a below average game. Also "carrying on the legacy" is really hard as Renegage/Target are incredible good games. Had the game been sold as a budget game i cant imagine anyone being angry (but still disappointed by the bad collision, useless few moves, dim overcrowding enemies & ruining timelimit). It does have great music & full 16 colour graphics & there are many much worse amstrad beatemups out there (most are actually only 4 colour with even slower gameplay & smaller sprites)

I remember deciding not to buy this game after seeing some screenshots. Looks like I made the right choice!

What a sad way for the Renegade series to end.
