Sorry but the first paragraph is kinda BS as you can see these things fighting, and definitely making noise in the wild in Australia. Dunno if it's rare for them to do that in the captivity, but in the wild they are very lively. Funny creatures, I spent ages trying to get some good photos of these things in Sydney :)

They are just magnificent to see in their natural habitat. I remember them well from Indonesia and Nepal many years ago. In the daytime their hanging bodies would fill the trees, they are quite noisy clucking at each other... then at dusk you could see giant flocks flapping slowly to their feeding grounds.

I'm sad to hear they are now endangered due to hunting.
