Also you pilot your own ship directly yourself, and have the ability to give orders to other ships you own.

It's kinda like the old game Freelancer, only with the ability to own and control an infinite number of ships, as well capital ships. As well as being able to build factories and that produce and sell resources to make money.

X3 Series is the best space simulator i have ever played. I have saves, still i need some years more to "finish" the game. My ranking is not even in half of the maximum exp and 200 million of credits is nothing in that HUGE, so complex and most perfect game. Thumbs up, Im gonna install it again :-)

I remember my first attempt on making a fleet vs fleet battle. Let me tell you, the feeling of leading 15 or so ships all customized by you with your primary ship (mine was the Spitfyre), flying in a formation at 250-300 m/s with your lone carrier ship firing capital ship rounds behind you collide against a moderate sized Xenon fleet of Q's and L's and other M4s + M5s, its.....it's..just......fuckin­g exhilarating .

How do you buy wheat farms and stations?

you can buy them from shipyards, but you need a ship that can carry TS (or TL...cant remember atm :/ ) sized cargo. To do this you need to hire a ship with that cargo type, such as an argon mammoth, whichc usually hang around near shipyards anyway. To hire, just open coms and talk to the captain, from then on you can talk to him to give him orders, such as dock at a shipyard, then buy your factory! (hope this helped!)

The Shrike is a fantastic starting HQ ship - hangar for a small wing of fighters, can use Gauss Cannons (saving laser energy), and is relatively powerful for a frigate. The only off-putting quality is its slow speed.

the only flaw i can think of with this game is that it needs more story for TC (i was disapointed with the shortness of it) and the engine can be laggy at times, especially in 10x seta

first you most realise terran is just a tiny expansionpack to X3 heck... Tauros "MainGun" is actually a ship with 0 speed since stations cant shoot

also the computer need to simulate a entire universe in realtime (trade, movment and battle all in one)

when X4 comes out i think that Terrans are going to get just as much as all the other races in types of missions gissmos and all other aspecs

The Boost Extension does nothing more than give you a massive acceleration boost - it cannot make you go any faster. However, I think there's an afterburner script or two roaming around the egosoft forums.

and you need a policelicens then you get very fast money ^^
