  • 1:44 This cow is asking for help!!!!!!

  • I haven't been a vegetarian for very long - just over a year - I'm a poor cook, I enjoy cheese and eggs, the condition of animals in these conditions, are only a product of our capitalist mode of production; so rather turning vegan and giving in, to funding the cause by throwing yet more money at system, and the cessation of the ill treatment of these animals conditional on the continual funding. I'm going to continue being a vegetarian communist - and fight for a change in the system.

  • Im a dairy farmer there are only so minie ways to handle sick cow and down cows but i would say this is a nasty farm i would not want any of my cows there

  • I'll never touch their products again. Please spread this video to everyone.

  • Ah, no wonder Land O' Lakes butter tastes like crap....

  • EARTH BALANCE, people. Or just friggin MARGARINE.

Milk belongs to calves!!! Not people! (says someone who JUST went vegan not 2 months ago....I stopped the lies)

  • I buy Land O lakes butter. At least I used to. My grandparents owned a farm and raised livestock. They would be shocked to see this footage. They took pride in their farm and were self respecting human beings. I believe most people were like my grandparents in the generation of small farm owners. When industral farming took over, the animals are no longer going to feed your family or community, but to feed the greed of an overstuffed industry.

  • As long as people cointnue to consume dairy products and meat, this will go on. All animals will NEVER be treated good as long as so many humans desire their meat and milk. If you're not vegan, you can't complain about this, you are contributing to it!

  • i think its very unfair that u "brand" all dairy farms as being cruel. wat about the dairy farms that are alot better run and manged than the one in the clip. i do agree that the film is shocking but lightyen up and give the farmers who do do a good job and look after there cows.

  • This is one place. Instead of going vegan, get off your ass and show it to the humane society. They can do something. Going vegan won't do shit.

  • @sabakunoamanda actually it will. Humans dont need milk. We get our calcium from green vegetables, as well as iron. We have great butters and milks and ice creams, all without cholesterol. The humane society can't really do much, since these places are protected under law. Anything the workers do for the sake of production is deemed legal. The humane society can only offer maybe a fine at best, but the USDA doesn't do shit either. Going vegan has been the best thing I've ever done in my life

  • Yuk eew :(

    I hate those people

  • There is NO REASON WHATSOEVER why any humans ever 'need' to consume the milk of cattle. When we are babies, our mothers make milk for us in their breasts. Once we are toddlers, we do not need even our own mithers' milk. Many, many humans have NEVER consumed cow milk and yet lived healthily. COW MILK IS FOR CALVES.

  • I got to get my milk somehow! :D

  • I couldn't finish this vid. I was trying to watch through, but when the told about the cow being stabbed in the spine? with a blad?! are they serious, who do they think they are? thumbs up if youre a vegitarian.

  • And I pay how much per gallon of milk and they cant care for these poor animals that give them this money!! assholes!

  • and people eat this and drink it this is so disturbing because it is true no don't buy land of lakes products.just try to stand up for something you know is deplorable and digraceful cows feel love and care and they like us feel pain and fear please will you care go to peta.com so many causes to believe inenough for you to want to help change the life of even one animal ...just one and it feels right who are we to try to pretend we don't know or look the other way . please visit peta.com

  • i hate all this bullshit, peta finds the certain cases and put there own ill knowledged spin on it, for one thing the "waste" on their legs is something that cant be stopped and me being on a dairy farm i can tell that all the dirt on their legs is actually just dirt from them walking through the pastures shit doesnt dry and look like that, and the electric prod was to try and get her up because if she didnt get up she could lose feeling in her legs and she might not be able to even stand later

  • This is one of the few like this, but it needs to stop regardless. Even for "efficiencies" sake, it's too unhealthy for the workers and animals. You can even say things would be more efficient when kept clean. I've been on several large farms, and I'm glad to say, they aren't like that disgrace of a place.

  • YOU DONT HAVE TO BE A VEGAN OR VEGATARIAN TO SAVE ANIMALS PETA!!!! theres humane ways to care for and gather milk from a cow...the solution isnt to just GO VEGAN...good gosh. i mean if you wanna be vegan then by all means BE VEGAN! but dont make people think thats the only option to save animals! PETA has a great goal in mind: stop animal cruelty and animal abuse. PETA keep doing what your doing but stop thinking that being a vegan is the only way to stop this.

  • I was Born & Raised on a small Dairy Farm in Wisconsin. Only Kid and up at 330am to get Milking parlor set up & Ready for Milker Cows. I have NEVER witnessed such cruel & Horrific treatment of Farm animals in m,y 59 year Life!

Whoever is "in Charge" of this Farm & it's Manager & ALL the Dairy hands should be chained to one of those stanchions and left in their own Filth to die!

OUR Farm & Cows were absolutely CLEAN! They grazed in Pastures, and were Our 1st Priority! CLEAN was a MUST. Happy Cows

  • @SarahRosehawk agreed me 2 my Grandfather had a farm in wisconsin. I was raised there all my life. Wisconsin has VERY HAPPY COWS EATING GRASS and NOT corn!!! I have been all over Wisconsin and have NEVER seen anything other then happy CLEAN cows!!! Cows Chicken pigs my grandfather cared for them all!!! I watched FOOD INC here on YT and was sick to my stomach how people treat their farm animals =( I only buy from local farmers who don't harm their animals!!!

  • And all these animals are thinking is "what did I do to be treated this way? I wasnt hurting anyone" I wish I could have 5 minutes for eevry person that treats animals like this and abuses them. I would have them begging for their life too. And dont give me this s**T that you can solve one problem by creating harmon someone else. Why they hell should these people get a second chance or schooled on what they did/.. Who gave those animals a chance to say they didnt want to be tortured!

  • This is not every farm. I have lived in farms and have friends with farms. Happy cows make more milk. This video is bullshit.

  • The pus part was pretty disgusting.

  • I felt sorry for these cows, untill i realized all you were out for was trying to turn us into vegans..

  • My opinion - PETA is bad and cruel ppl, who just want to catch some money from believers. (Minus pls)

  • @Getoverhere Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

  • kum 2 nz and see how you farm these animals properly stupid americanz thos cows look fukin disgusting

  • What Is Tha Point In Beatinq Tha Cows That You Use To Only Make BUTTER Nd CHEESE With..They Are Just Wastinq There Time!..Why Do They Have To Electricute Them Nd Beat Them If They Are ONLY Makinq BUTTER Nd CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..Theres Is NOO Point AT ALL In Doinq That!

  • You are obviously young and naive.

  • Actually, cows make milk

  • I am sooo glad i do not buy any thing from Land o Lakes.I will make sure i tell everyone i know about how they treat these animals.Sick f****** bastards!!!

  • We live in such a beautiful world - beautiful because of, IMO, the Divine Majesty of Creation, and all it serves to offer us on our path towards Wisdom. But - we also live in a very lost, sick and disgusting world, where I find it a great deal easier to watch beheadings and other extremely violent videos of that sort - violence towards humans - than ones such as this one. I could barely keep my eyes on the screen, not wanting to believe that men today can simply treat Fellow Creatures this way

  • I grew up on a dairy farm and I will tell everybody here and the world that we didn.t run our farm that way and I know most of the others in my county and theirs weren't ran that way and I know others around the country aren't ran that way so I think it was wrong for them to say the dairy Industry was like this because it is not this way. This farm was ran this way which I will say was Bull Shit and those people need the Shit kicked out of them. I as a farmer am sorry for those animals. I

  • that's cruel

    and VERY unsanitary!

    WTF

  • that wrong are never have my cows like that never

  • Is Mad Cow disease curable in humans? I heard that it is if the body is healthy enough. I think some people in the world may have it and not even know.

  • Please go vegan...lol

  • Go Vegan. Um....no. Meat tastes good. You destroy your expose by imploring ordinary folks to go Vegan at the end of this video. I was moved untill I heard the hippie narater say "go Vegan".

  • The reason they say "go Vegan" is because that was the entire point of the video. You say you were "moved", but obviously not if you weren't going to fucking do anything about it.

  • WOW..... that is basically all that can be said about this farm..... SICK! I live and work on a dairyfarm in Canada, I love my job, but after watching this video it makes me sick to even call my self a dairy farmer, there is no way that this would happen on my farm, I can't believe this goes on but it does unfortunatly and this farm along with any others should be brought to court and put in jail. I Love cows and calves and when I was watching this video I was just shaking, I very dissapointed.

  • @dairyfarmer1345 I sometimes wonder how many farmers treat their animals like this. I am glad that you don't. If only more "farmers" would make sure their animals were healthy, such as not giving them hormones to grow faster, or antibiotics maybe I wouldn't feel so bad about eating their meat or drinking their milk. More people need to be concerned about how these animals live their lives and how they are killed. It's better for their well being and better for our health.

  • no comment nesesery!

  • wow...i wasn't expecting to react like this- but this video made me cry.I just can't understand how anyone could treat a helpless animal in such an inhumane and cruel way,People are sick...

  • Please be vegan.

    Namo Amitofo to all beings.

  • die uiters zyn veels de dik en hoe man met de stuk die stok in zyn kond doen en ff lekker stroom schoken geven

  • This is the reason im vegan.

  • This is not typical of 99.9 percent the of dairy farms. The dairy need help!

  • This is becoming more and more common, though it is not everywhere. It is definitely well above the majority. Because, most diary and food sales come from the huge corporate powerhouses like Land 'O Lakes whom care nothing but how deep their wallets are.

It is true that the cheaper an animal product is sold in a store, the more agony, blood-shed, and torture is behind it.

  • What a bullshit video! Why doesn't this video show the other side of the operation? Nothing like PETA making money on the misery of others! I will agree there are things here that bother me, however, any donated money made from this video needs to go to the dairy so they can better themselves !Don't judge the rest of us over this bullshit! Wake the f**k up people!

  • this is so fucked up they are animals like us imagine if you saw a girl being treated like that and she had a flat chest but she could not provide milk for her young one and thats how they treated someone like that!!! >:0

  • i"ve been vegan for several months and this just reinforces mY desicion

  • This factory should be shut down. I've never seen anything so disgusting in my life. These people will have to face their creator someday, and they should be afraid. I'm sick to my stomach...horrible.

  • im a dairy farmer and that barn and its condition is the worst i have ever seen, some of the photos i can say i under stand the clip of the cow standing in the parlor with the after birth hanging out is understandable u cant just pull that out or else u risk damaging internal parts which could result to death. i feel this was a bad representation of all dairy farmers please dont paint all of us with the same brush!

  • Just think how much PETA is lining their pockets with donated money over this. I'll bet the money goes for personal use and politicians. PETA is just as evil as the HSUS who don't even want people to have pets!

  • Cowman, now wherever did you get the ridiculous notion that PETA and the HSUS do not want people to keep companion animals?

    Penn & teller, huh.

  • i know i hate that, people think peta is anti pet... peta is anti IRRESPONSIBLE OWNER.

  • @cowman1970 peta doesn't want people to buy pets from breeders and pet stores. Because there are billions of adoptable pets from rescue shelters all over the country. In 2010 they performed thousands of spaying and neutering of dogs and cats and rabbits. You are coming up with these ideas out of nothing, other than anti-peta cunts who want nothing but to keep eating meat, and supporting the meat industry. But you are just an ignorant troll, your opinions dont matter.

  • That is truly fucked up,

  • This brought tears to my eyes. I've been a vegetarian since watching Peta's Meet yoru Meat video on youtube about 10 months ago.

I plan to which to a vegan diet after my 1 year anniversay. People have the right to eat as they want but I wish that more would change to a vegetarian or vegan diet so that animals and our environment would not have to suffer.

  • This brought tears to my eyes. I am a vegetarian and have been for 10 months since viewing Peta's Meet Your Meat video on youtube. In a couple of months(1 year anniversary of vegetarian) I will be adopting a vegan lifestyle.

I wish more people would make the change so that these poors animals and our environment would not have to suffer anymore.

  • My goodness people this is bad but dont think all farmers are this way. Keep eating meat and support your AMERICAN BEEF PRODUCERS!!!!!!!

  • stupid people

    they kicked the poor cow

    =[

so poor this has to stop

  • I thought cows are expensive?

Why should they do something like that

  • Because OUR GOVERNMENT pays for them in subsidies. They are always claiming how they'd never harm their 'profit makers'. I think this video and hundreds of others proves otherwise.

  • Asshole! Go watch the other farm videos the ones where people do care about what they have you ignorant son of a bitch!

  • cows are not expensive when you get big farm factories like this one who have over 300 or so head to milk then cows that just cant keep up to the rest of the heard are shipped of to slaughter and they get some money out of them that way. i see this every day its really to bad but its reality

  • If you can find room to keep the multi-thousands of strays, please let us know, otherwise, there is no other choice than euthanasia.

PETA, and many other organizations educate to spay and neuter to reduce unwanted pets and strays which works wonders, but with the existence of puppy mills - many have to be put under.

You also fail to comprehend the facts that a lot of these animals have been brutally abused and tortured beyond what medicine can heal.

A lifetime of pain? Or euthanasia?

  • Could this be why we are dying? We buy this garbage then our health goes down the tube. The insurance companies are lousy, because the insurance companies don't want to pay out. It appears this is a no win situations. Did I hear someone say go vegetarian. Now I am trying to go vegetarian, but wait there is a problem the pesticides. O.k. I got another idea a garden, but the weather is shit, because of the ozone. I guess I will not eat and fade away. Man has destroyed everything he has touched.

  • May God punish sick losers that harm ANY animal in ANY way. It's videos like this that are motivating me to become a full Vegan... And I will, soon enough God willing. Vegetarianism was my first decision and Veganism will be my second decision and BEST ever. 5 Stars for this video and props to PETA to uncovering the TRUTH.

  • lmfao!!!

  • Domesticated animals are completely dependent on human beings, thousands of years of evolution have made them this way. Their purpose is food. However, the best food does of course come from animals who are properly treated and cared for, so it is to the benefit of the farm to not mistreat their animals.

  • Firstly I would like to say, I don't condone mistreatment of animals. Secondly, being raised in Dairy country (WI), everyone should be aware that this is the exception, not the rule, I have never seen cattle treated this way. Thirdly, what do you think would happen to domesticated animals if everyone went vegan? You wouldn't be saving them, they would have no propose, and most likely would go extinct. (cont)

  • I spent the summer living next to a dairy farm in Southern Germany where they take pride in how the look after the cows. I visited the farm with my younger siblilngs almost every day and the cows are clean and well fed. This being said I still cannot agree with dairy farming. Although some cows are in the fields some still spend endless days and nights in the sheds. I watched 14 calves being born and all of them were immediately taken away from their mothers and caged. Just because.......

  • veil tastes great...

  • @SignOn I've never had a veil. I didn't know humans could eat fabric.....how does it taste? :-/

  • time to stop being a video vigilante it's not enough

  • Damn the bastards.

  • Assuming that this is the case on all dairy farms is like assuming that all teachers have sex with their students. It happens, yet the industry is not proud of it, certainly does not condone it, nor is it the norm by any stretch.

Dairy cows that are kept clean and treated well stay healthier, and thereby producing a higher-quality product which the farmer can make a better living off of.

  • I read one post saying that it's not "Land O' Lakes" responsibility, but the farm itself. Regardless of whose farm, "Land O' Lakes" has visits... I just wonder when dumb humans will get it? It seems like we never learn from the past. I can tell you one thing that Karma is a B@tch!! So any despicable human being, I wish you death sooner. I'm Punk Rock and you can suck it!!!

  • they are so mean

  • that farmers should be dead. that "no feeling peolple" should suffer the same or worts mather fuckers

  • I would like to point out that some parts of this video are blatent lies: in the one version of this video, it claims that the liquid seen dripping from the cow (at 0:03) is puss from open wounds - it is indeed not. It actually is milk coming from the cow's udder because she is in need of being milked, although there may be some mastitis in there as well. Also, Land O'Lakes does not own the farms. It is a company where farmers send their milk to, and therefore are not responsible.

  • seems like u work in Land O'Lakes

  • The conditions of the animals in this video is dire, I agree - however, I live in rural, dairy farming Pennsylvania and I can assure you that no farmer in their right mind keeps their animals in this condition. For those of you without a production agriculture background - please do not believe that this video represents the entirity of our dairy farmers, because it does not. Please educate yourselves before jumping to conclusions and devoting yourself to ridding of the dairy industry.

  • In the end, the quality of the animals' treatment does not justify our using them for our benefit. It is for this reason, ultimately, that we must end, among several others, the meat and dairy industries. They are institutions of oppression, based on senseless discrimination, and ignorance and neglect of nonhuman animals' rights and interests.

  • This should be shown on television when milk and meat products are advertised. Sent letter to Land'O Lakes ..The sick bastards!

  • While I'm glad that this travesty was exposed, I don't like how people are given the impression that ALL dairy operations are run like this. Even hard-nosed producers who "don't care about their animals feelings" would find this management (or lack thereof) horrifying. Stressed animals are poor producers and whoever allowed this to go on like this is a moron at best and a sadist at worst. Most dairy farmers want to take the best care of their animals.

  • This is sick! It really pisses me off. I can't even finish watching it.

  • Does ASPCA not have any input on this kind of situation as well? What is the law on that in the States. If they can rescue circus animals from cruelty, why not cows?

  • PETA will always use the most extreme examples of cruelty to animals to get their point across. While they certainly do well at the job they do, their extremism also alienates many people who could otherwise become their allies, in terms of reducing the total pain and suffering. If people do insist on eating meat, and many of them will continue to do so, it might be wiser in the long run to push for the ethical treatment of farm animals where they live and grow, and humane forms of killing them.

  • your wrong! I LOVE PETA and what their doing and no im happy peta is bringing the truth im gonna join their facebook to END THIS!!!

  • Thats absolutley horrible how they treat their cows. I cannot believe they can get away with this. If the cows get sick they should be treated. They should have workers there round the clock picking up crap. I have animals and I know they are beautiful souls. They cant speak for themselves and its just sad that ignorant people mistreat animals. Its disgusting!

  • ugh...this is horrid.

  • boycotting is too good for land o the lakes. throwing cow feces over their product and the stores that sell it is too good for what this company has done. Some people need to go to prison and/or they need to be given a death penalty by the state! This cannot be legal activity and it must be prosecuted. if it is legal then we need to pass laws to use the death penalty against these criminals. This wasn't just one farmer. This was a huge american corporation with the government behind them.

  • The owner of this farm should be shot. I was raised on a farm, nothing like this ever happened. By the size of their utters i would guess they never have a vet look at them.

  • For one that has live on a farm their whole life it is UDDER..not UTTERS!!

  • THIS IS WHY I DONT COMSUME DAIRY!!!!!!

  • This is not the kind of milk one should drink and anyway this milk is for calves not humans!

  • Cause of your work and my humane love for animals I've changed my life drastically and also my husband and family have all become vegetarians. I'm not buying no more leather either or even fake fur. I just don't feel good wearing it anymore. I wonder how that little cow is now after the investigator bought and cured him?

  • Wow...That's just...Wow...I really hate seeing animals suffer

  • good job peta somebodys got to have saneness and care for poor animals in this world! i support you guys all the way and ask to keep looking into especially factory farming it is so cruel to farm animals that have no rights it seems ! im glad a prop passed in calif for gestation crates.weve got to do more at these slaughterhouses!!!

  • i am a Vegetarian and a Peta Supporter But Would The Peta Person That Just Recorded This Would Not Help Pick Up The Cows ? i Know They Weigh Alot But ....They Could've Did Something

  • First of all, all of you vegans are only making the problem worse. By not milking a cow it will develop mastitis which could eventually kill her. Also you cannot depict the GROSS misconduct of one farm to represent the dairy industry. I met a vegan PETA member who open all the goat cages at the MN state fair because they said the goats would be better off in an urban area then on their own farms. I don't take that to represent all vegans.

  • how true is this video in relation to UK dairy farms?

and are the dairy products that are used in Quorn products made with cruelty ?

  • This video is not at all true, even for Land O' Lakes production. Everyone takes one extreme case and uses it to exemplify a whole industry

  • Sickening :/

  • Just FYI....Land O'Lakes has nothing to do with how the suppliers treat their animals. Land O"lakes doesn't own the farms nor does it dictate how the farmers run their farms.

  • They might not dictate how the farmers run the farm, but by not caring how they run them and buying the products, they are giving these farmers the money they need to stay in business. So, if you are a regular costumer at the supermarket, you have nothing to do on how this farm is run, but you are giving Land O'Lakes the money that will eventually get to these farmers hands.

  • They should do ... what if the cow is sick and the milk is bed? well, profit comes first right ...

  • Ohsnap

  • ok..... just so every1 knows, going vegan does absolutly NOTHING to stop stuff like this. instead, how about try getting your meat from sources other than this? i grew up on a farm and know that about 95% of all cows are treated as well as or better the common house pet. then there are 4.99% where conditions arent all that great, then .01% like this. going vegan solves nothing. and btw humans not eating meat is more unnatural then cows being killed. why would humans have canines then?

  • And eventhough most beef cows live the "life of Riley", grazing on acreage (I'm from TX and am surrounded by cattle ranches), they are still subjected to the same horrible ride to the slaughterhouse and meet their ends at the hands of the untrained, underpaid, overworked, uncaring hands of the slaughterhouse worker. From your post it seems like you feel this kind of treatment is par for the course and compassionate people are crazy for expecting anything more. Sorry. That is ridiculous.

  • Do you guys EVER wonder how the PETA workers get these footages?

    ...

  • I guess the same way undercover cops get theirs.

  • you people that go vegan don't get all the vitamins they need and so ether get sick or have to take malty-vitamins and so you don't drink milk you will break you bones easier then people whom do

  • Dude, growing up in Central Pennsylvania, I know this is not real, well definitely not Pennsylvanian, we have the Amish, lol. Why can't PETA just stop bitching there are more important things to do.

  • The people who do this and work at these farms deserves to be executed. I will really like to meet one of them :) ........so I could break their fucking nose, of course.

  • i am freaking pissed off wanna kick his ass...

  • Horrible. I'm so glad I'm vegan. It's just too bad it doesn't seem to make enough of a difference.

  • then you must have vary breakable bones and eat malty vitamins

  • Horrific! While I am already vegan, I want to do more to help these cows! :(

    This video is heartbreaking!

  • being vegan in no way whatsoever helps these cows. instead it means they died for nothing!

  • What? I don't understand your logic. The demand for dairy products comes from those who consume it. Less people consuming dairy products mean less of a demand which results in no more dairy production. The businesses go under and the cows are no longer subjected to this cruelty. I am vegan and eventhough I am infuriated when I see this footage, I in no way carry any guilt for their suffering, only grief. Their blood isn't in MY hands.

  • The blood is more on your hands, by not consuming animal products that it would already be consuming, eggs and milk, your only hurting the animal and hurting the farmer.

  • Glad I'm vegan.

...Doing my part by sharing this video with people who aren't vegan.

Please share this video and make a difference for animals today!

  • Omg.....

  • then you must eat malty vitamins and have breakable bones

  • after watching these videos i'm going vegan...I can't believe that people could torture that animals it's total cruelty!!!

  • I'd personally kill those mother of fucks for doing such a horrible things. For god sakes where the fuck is their brain?

  • I've been a dairy farmer for several years, and when i was younger i worked for several other dairies - THIS IS NOT NORMAL!! Dairy farmers take pride in their farms and their cattle - they are our livelyhood! They must have searched far and wide to find this place. I have never seen such a dirty farm or cattle. No farmer will defend how these cattle are treated or cared for! This IS NOT the face of American agriculture!! Just visit any dairy farm and ask questions. Come visit me in MN if u can.

  • you are 100% correct. i have worked on many dairy farms and have visited farms all around the country. i have never seen anything like this. ive seen a lot of farms where cows are taken care of better than most peoples indoor pets. farmers kow that when cows are taken care of, they produce more milk. peta needs to go to a real farm.

  • If that's the case, then what do "honest" dairy farmers like yourself do to help stop/prosecute blatant abuse such as this? I would think that this farm wouldn't be operating in secret. The farm itself would have plenty of in/out traffic by other people (such as the driver who picks up the milk) so I would have to wonder if those who see but don't approve try to change the lives of the poor animals or just look the other way.

  • I'm all for better treatment of animals , harsh punishment of the farms who break the rule even if it means shutting them down , but I'm not going to change my diet . Also a word of advice to peta you veg starter kit sucks and u shouldn't call it a kit cause it's a magizine and it's misleading and doesn't encourage people to change .If it were a real kit that included samples and coupons maybe.

  • I can believe the human evil is so big,now I try to become vegan.Shame on you people!

  • What the hell is wrong with those humans?

  • I'm going vegan again... damn people are so cruel!

  • I am vegan also.. .. this is just too much, I just cant stop crying.

  • OMG this is terrible!

  • ummmmmm ive been to a dairy farm....it wasnt like this at all....

  • God I love milk so much though, I dont buy from brand names, we buy from our local college they sell milk and cheese etc... It's an agriculture college, I doubt their cows are treated like this.

  • okay, i have been on over hundreds of "factory farms" across the country but have never seen one like this. i admit, land o' lakes needs to get their act together but this is not what all large farms are like. they take care of their cows because they know they produce more milk that way. don't try to give the dairy industry a bad name. this is all propaganda. go to a real farm next time.

  • I think this is meant to work two ways, as a worst case scenario for a farm, and hopefully a prelude to legal action against this specific farm.

I may be bias, I quit drinking milk a long time ago. It just seems like a weird thing to do, drink milk as an adult. Babies do that, and from the same species usually.

Not trying to start a long winded debate, but I thought I'd respond.

  • i tried to go vegan but its just that my family eat like alot of meat and its really hard for me. good think i dont eat that much milk and cheese well only the little milk from school ;(

  • Eww My Milk !!!!!! >:O

  • I can't believe it. I mean, I've read literature on the mistreatment of factory farmed animals, but this is unlike anything I could have imagined. I'm a vegetarian that doesn't drink milk, but I occasionally eat cottage cheese and yoghurt. I think this is the push I needed to go vegan, as I know the chicken farming business produces just as much suffering.

  • Cheese is sooo not worth this.

  • OMG!!!! SERIOUSLY... POOR COWS! THEY SHOULDN'T BE TREATED THAT WAY! PETA ROCKS! :( this video made me really sad :(

  • This is absolutely unacceptable. In a perfect world, all of these tortured animals would run free and not be tortured by us humans. I do not wonder why most of them fear us. Unfortunately, they just cannot see which of us are good, or bad at heart. But we can not blame them for that when this is going on. I only hope that they can have a better life someday in the future, as I know changing the world is not done in a day, an hour, or a year. it is gradual.

  • THIS IS FUCKED UP!!!!

  • The animals don't need your excuses; they need you to go VEGAN! There are so many delicious and more nutritious alternatives to cow's milk, cheese, and butter. Nobody deserves to be used and abused for someone else's pleasure, whether they be human or nonhuman.

  • REAL WHOLESOME Land O Lakes!!

I hope everyone clicks on the links above and signs a letter to Land O Lakes. Thats what the corps understand! Losing money. They FEAR kids telling Mom in in the grocery store "Hey, Mom these poor cows were covered in crap" Oh yeah that will do wonders!

  • oh god....this is horrid......but i love cheese so much......but now ima cry when i eat cheese.....and cheese is the only thing i eat/drink that dairy .......the puss makes me want to stop but i love cheese ......i torn ....ugh dose boca make fake cheese????

  • Try Teese, Follow Your Heart - Vegan Gourmet (mozzarella is really good), Daiya, and there are several others to choose from.

  • KORNI i feel the same way, only that i, when i feel i'm doing something wrong

    I STOP DOING IT .

There's life beyond cheese, don't worry about it. Make your step, GO VEGAN !

  • i can understand you, i am vegetarian but i also drink mil and eat cheese but i want to be a vegan so, if you want become a vegetarian and in the future yo ucan be vegan XD

  • @KORNISMYPROBLEM From the ChooseVeg site... " Soymage by Galaxy Foods is vegan, along with other brands you may find in health food stores or health food sections."

  • Holy fuck!! :'O

  • Listen we are allowed to eat meat but they should be given a good life before their time if we stop being omnivores we upset the balance of nature. Even though i eat meat i still hate and disagree with these methods of torture i hope that these people get treated the same way. No form of life should be treated this way!

  • this is horrible! you can clearly see that these cows are starving and the'r udders are so swollen from the machines.

My Grandad was a dairy farmer and I know for a fact that cows do not need to be treated this way for their milk. Cows can live perfectly healthy natural lives in fields and be milked twice daily and the farmer can still reap plenty of the rewards. They don't need to abbuse the cows like this.

  • i can understand you but if your granddad dairy farmer would became a super multinational, the cows would be trated like this

  • They going to take this to the cops and prosecute Land O Lakes?

  • my god this is so sad. why do we do this to animals? profit? stupidity? hard heartedness? I don't understand.

  • I've been vegetarian for more than 3 years now, it was and is easy. Now I have set my sights on being vegan, which is not so easy for me. This video is the motivation I need. Keep it up!

  • everyone says they cant go vegan because its too hard and they cant find anything to eat...... i found im a better cook going vegan

  • this is so sad and horrifying. i can't believe this is real.

  • This is so distubing...

Theres no excuse for this either...

But I think Peta should focus on getting people to buy from/suppoty dairy farms that are humane to their cows.

It;s a win-win, people get their milk, cows get happy life.

  • Some people are just truly sick.I never bought land o lakes products, and i'm really glad too.

  • omg. How can people do this.

  • that's fucking horrible. (U)

  • Poor cows ... I hope those s#!+bags in that factory get some serious jail time.

  • those poor poor creatures, the conditions they are in are vile and make me sick, there is no excuse for the way those animals are treated, i was brought up on a small diary farm and are cows were loved, and very well cared for, they ALWAY had fresh clean straw and where left to graze in the summer, some became very close to us, like companions, i can honestly say our cows were happy cows, not like thise poor souls :( these farmers should no fucking better!

  • We have to be more evolved than this... GO VEGAN!
